I just made some votives last week using Candle Source's BRV and they smell amazing !!!
-
Hi there, I use both of those waxes and i'm using HTP wicks...

I was having that exact same problem until I read someone's suggestion to preheat my oven to around 200 F, turn off, place my candles in just after i've poured them and shut the oven door. I left them in there overnight and to my delight-no holes, no cracks !!!! I'm using EcoSoya Advanced too.....apparently I was cooling them too quickly even by just leaving them on the counter.....

Hi All,
Just wanted to let everyone know that I have had great sucess with Cranberry Chutney from Candles and Supplies. It smells amazing !! Cold and hot throw both:yay:
I am using Ecosoya Advanced CB, 1oz FO per 16 oz wax, BTW.
Have a great day!

I will be trying it this weekend, will keep you posted !

So far the best one for me has been Pumpkin & Vanilla, has anyone tried Relaxation?

Just wanted to give everyone heads up on my order taht I received today for Candles & Supplies....the shipping was VERY quick, it took only days to arrive here in Ontario, Canada !! The scents I ordered were Brandied Fig, Chocolate Orange, Vanilla Pods, Cranberry Chutney, Current Spice, Cinnamon Blend, Hazelnut Creme, Orange pomander, Shanghai Spiced Tea and Spice Cake. The only one that I am disappointed in is Cinnamon Blend-it's very bland. So , 9/10 scents( at $5.00/16oz bottle)that smell great is pretty darn good ...now the test is to see how they will work with ecoSoya advanced...????!!!!I'll post as soon as I use them,Karin

lol....i would say Vanilla or Orange-i've read that men react well to Orange.Sandalwood, Patchoul maybe ?????Karin

Hi Jennifer, I haven't gone to that extent- yet !! I have planned my first sale/open house at my home on Dec 1 so I will see how that goes (or doesn't)...I am curious to see how it will go for you-keep me posted and Good Luck !!!Karin

Hey Bert...i have a question...whats the difference between Cranberry and Traditional Cranberry...is one spicy??Thanks !!
-
I like the border better, it caught my attention first!!
-
just out of curiousity...has anyone ever done a scent throw comparison of whether it works better to add the FO at a higher or lower temp? It confuses me cause some say to add FO at 180F and others say 110F..???? I would love some input !! Thanks:)

I just wanted to say that I LOVE Candle Source's scents!!!...I'm in the middle of making soy tarts tonight and my house smells sooo yummy.
Pumpkin & Vanilla- strong, creamy vanilla with a hint of pumpkin
The Great Pumpkin- spicy and yummy-very strong
Thses are the only 2 I have used so far, I do have Christmas Rumball-it smells good -I do find that it smells a bit like their Eggnog FO...

Hi there...I use mason jars.I buy them for $5.99 for a case of 12 in Canada...
-
sorry , i meant to quote the first paragraph

One lesson I learned the hard way.... add the fragrance oil in as soon as you have removed the wax from the heat source, then stir until you pour, which is a much cooler temperature. You do this as the wax "takes" the fragrance oil better at a higher temp.
I was told to add the frag oil just b4 pouring at around 110F as the oil(scent) will "burn off" otherwise...now i'm confused:confused:

hi there.....i was told by my wax supplier to add fo at around 125F....she said that if you add it when the wax is too hot you will lose some of the scent....HTH
