  1. Thanks everyone! At least I have a starting point now. Scented - the Mint Leaf from Taylored Concepts, is it soft or very strong. I'm looking for something kind of soft, not overpowering. That sounds like it might be close.

  2. I have tried the Brown Sugar Pecan and it is very strong to me (but I'm not really a fan of it). I would agree that the Nana's old fashioned apple butter is a must have. The Pumpkin Nog is really good too. I have a sample of Pumpkin Vanilla Creme and it is yummy OOB, but I haven't put it in wax yet. The Caramel Apple is also sooo good. I'm not sure if the Vanilla Buttercreme Frosting is the same thing as the Vanilla Buttercreme Crunch, if so another winner. Very strong. Not sure about any of the other ones. But another must have in my opinion would be the Chestnuts and Brown Sugar.

  3. I have 1LB of Pumpkin Crunch Cake ,that is only about 1 month old, and never been used, I would like to sale.

I will post it in the classifides if I don't get a response here.

Thanks, but I have to pay the shipping for my order anyway so it's probably not worth it for just one oil. I appreciate the offer though :cheesy2:

Found this in the supplier announcements and thought you might be interested. :wink2:

I have never tried this supplier. If anyone has used them, do they work well in soy/para blends?

Thanks again for all the replies. I put an order in to Peaks and I just went straight for the 16oz of Mac Apple so I have my fingers crossed. It takes a week for their packages to get to me so I hate ordering samples and then having to put in another order. By the time I'm done its over 2 weeks and we all know how impatient you can be waiting for those oils. I really hate that they are so far away from me. Thanks again for all the help!

  5. I'm looking for a really good Mac Apple FO. I have been using JS and it's pretty good but for some reason I can't get it to throw in tea lights. It does fine in anything else. But I would still like something a little stronger then theirs. I use a soy/par blend. Anyone have one? I am getting ready to place an order with Peaks this week. Anyone know how theirs is?

    Thanks!

  6. Hi Everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long butters and oils last. I bought a bunch of stuff last year with the intention of making soap. Right after I bought it I found out I was pregnant and I didn't think it would be good to mess around with lye, so I put it all on a shelf. Now that I have some time I would like to try some body butters with some of the stuff but I don't know if I'm still able to use it. I have had it stored in a dark place but not necessarily a cool place. I would say average temp around 70. I am planning on making it for my own personal use. Is there anyone that could help me out with this. Thanks.

  7. I don't use those jars but I use the CD wicks and they seem to work pretty well in that wax. I didn't really notice a problem with the scent throw. But someone mentioned adding a little vybar in and they said that seemed to help. I tried it this weekend but I haven't test burned them yet. One night this week I will burn them and see if there is a difference.

Thanks for everyone's input, I poured a little hotter this weekend and it seemed to help with the cracks. :smiley2:

Sharon, I would have mixed it also. I'm not looking to go all soy either. I think maybe I'll mess around with this wax a little more and if I can't get it to work well maybe I'll go back to the IGI 6006. Thanks again everyone.

  8. Sorry to hear that you were having the same issues but at the same time I'm glad to find someone else who has. I was thinking it was something I'm doing wrong. I also use CD wicks but I haven't noticed any problems with scent throw. In the end I think I'm going to change waxes. How do you like the J223? I haven't tried it but a lot of people seem to use it.

  9. I am using 5oz and 9oz honey pot jars. They are smooth jars. I just can't seem to figure out why it happens in some and not others. What temp do you pour at. I have tried from 160 up to 175 and it still seems to happen. I have not had any problems with scent throw in them. But when I hit them with the heat gun sometimes it solves it, other times the crack come back. Sometimes they will crack right across the wick. It's very aggravating. I was thinking maybe it's air bubbles. I've tapped the sides and I don't get any bubbles out of them. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

  10. I am a newbie to this forum but I am curious about this wax also. I recently started using this wax myself and I am having a problem with my candles cracking around the edges. I've tried pouring at all different temps, heating my jars first and not heating them. It seems to happen no matter what I do. But it doesn't happen to every candle in the batch. The only thing I add to the wax is UV. Are you having any problems like this? If so, have you found any way to avoid it?
