  1. You can buy your turkey fryer at Walmart or Kmart. (Stores like that) You find them in the camping section. They are abut 85.00. If you wait they do go on clearance at the end of camping season. You can pick them up at a great reduced price. I have 4 and paid 35.00 for the last one. They are as easy as a presto pot. Just search this forum and you will find out all the info you need. You do a beautiful job.

  2. Great job. They are so pretty. When you said you cant find a big enough pot too use for the orbs. What are you using now? HAve you ever tried a turkey fryer? That is what Im using with a gadget hooked up to the ceiling.Depending on the size of the balloon and the amount of water I put in it is what determines the size. I have made really big ones. Careful though it is REALLY heavy, when pulling it out.

  3. Did you look at Joanns or AC Moore or Michaels. Walmart might even have then. Look at thier web sites, and call then to see if they carry that product. Before you drive all over with this great gas prices

  4. Today at the craft show I was doing, this woman had lunch boxes wallets bookbags made from koolaid jammers. They were the coolest thing, and a HUGE hit. It appeared rather simple, to make. I was just curious to see if anyone else had seen these. They were flying off her table...

  5. I order extreme Vanilla and Cinnamon Stix from millcreek.I use to get all my fragrance from them, but now I get it from CS when I order my wax.I have tried others, but no one comes close to MIllcreek with those two scents..

  6. Those are so pretty. I would love to make them, but I would loose so many beads.I would be cleaning beads out of every orafice of my body, due to my hands shaking so bad and not being able not to see. You have to be under 40 LOL

    :laugh2:

  7. I always bought my V1 from NuScent. It was like 49.00 for 50 pounds. Now it is 82.50. I dont mind spending extra money for the wax. I would have to raise my prices alot to adjust to this. I know I am not alone I just wondered if thier was an equal wax at somewhat of a lower price. I live in NY, I wish I could drive to a place, but no luck Thank You everyone for your input..

  8. Hi, I have been using cargill V-1 forever. The price jump is sick. I am honestly thinking of switing to something else. BUT WHAT that is the question. I want a good wax that has godd hot and cold throw. And easily releases from molds. I tried CS Golden Brand 474 in the past and did not like it at all. I could not get it out of the molds at all. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

  9. I am so siked. That would be sweet to have a pattern. I will someday be able to sew. I am SO determined.I can not wait for you to post it. I hope the boy that your daughter is chrushing on chruhes her back. (I think I like our old english better, it sounds totally wrong the new way)

  10. Wow that is sick!!!!!!!!!!! Sick is the new cool. When my kids first said that looked sick to me I almost cryed, till they interpitated. Any way I love the hand bag. Is that a pattern?? I am tring to self teach myself how to sew. Im OK but no where near SICK..

  11. Has anyone ever worked with mosaic tiles. I really have a bad itch to try this. Any advice, or good places to buy these. I would like to work with the ceramic tiles. I have read about making this. I really would appreciate any help.. Thanks

  12. I am making wax crumbles out of my tarts that are damaged, and some that I dont carry anymore. This might move them . I am placing them in a food processor(Shredding Tool) and zip its done. Im layering them and coming up with all sorts of colors. Does anyone see a problem with this??

  13. I have made hundreds of orbs and never have had a balloon pop. Is your water to cold?? Was the wax to hot?? Dont give up just yet. Try Try Again . I submerge at 160 and the water is just cool not cold in the winter months. When you take it out hold it in a cool water bath and snip the top of the balloon and slowly let the water out. Then wipe dry. Let us know if this helps..

  14. I use 5055 from Candle Science. That is waht Donita reccommends. If you buy her tutorial for this you will have no problems. I submerge the balloon in wax and leave it there untill the proper thickness is achieved. If you are decorating the outside then yoou will need to over dip them. I hope this helps some what. I never had problems this way. The other way (by re dipping each layer I did have problems) You need to be quite exact with cooling layers and redipping..

  15. Thanks Judy I stated a new thread on the general candle forum. I hope that was the right place. My brain is a mess. My brother in law just passed away today. He was 57. A massive heart attack. My sister is a mess I am leaving to go out of town So thanks for your help. Everyone who reads this please hug the people you love and tell them that you love them
