I am a HUGE fan of Vanilla Bomb.....I haven;t used it in any b&b yet but it is my top seller in Candles.

I do masons with a pewter (silver) lid and I do clear labels..but my print is all in black.....

Does anyone know of a source for the flickering light bulbs and lamp bases for the wax hurricanes? I am not having any luck sourcing these.

The 50/50 mix is definately more uniform in appearance, where the straight palm has more sporadic patterns...in person it looks alot like the picture that you posted.

Ok, so here are the visual results....

I tried just pouring into jars and that didnt work out....so I preheated the oven to 170..warmed my jars..poured the wax and placed them in the oven and shut it off...the trick is to cool very slowly....

The red is straight palm and the other 2 are a 50/50 mix of palm and soy.

Now to test wicks.....

If that is the look you want then I suggest 1286 for containers and 1274 for pillars, that is what I use and you do not need an additive.

Well, I already do the mottling paraffin and do not need a mottling additive with the wax I use, curious about the soy and palm though!lol...so I will do a little playing....

Well, Im gonna play today and see what I can come up with....I can't get the conatiner palm aroiund here so I am gonna mix fethering palm with container soy and see what happens....

AND you can get penreco outside of the U.S....

What about that spray everyone is using? Or buying waterproof labels? You can still get close to the kraft look with a printed background color....

I have used my shrink sleeves for pillars with the caps for sniffing...worked out perfectly..

Does anyone know how many cups are in a kg of slsa? Trying to accurately figure costs for bath bombs, bubble bars...etc....

When googling I sometimes get 4 cups per kg and sometimes 8 cups per kg..

Does anyone know exactly?

What would be the best size of bags to purchase for bath bombs> For both the smaller ones(60mm?) and the larger (80mm?) both are similar in size to the 2 sizes LUSH carries.....I would say a tennis ball and a softball.....

Pipe it in......either using a piping bag for icing or a make shift one....scoop into a plastic ziploc bag and then cut a corner off to pipe it out....cheap, disposable and easy.

Lush puts nuts in their soap...one of their bars is FULL of nuts....

Ground Walnut,Ground Apricot, coffee grounds,salt, sugar, ground dried citrus peels...possibilities are endless...jojoba beads for milder exfoliation..
