Creative and just beautimous!!!!

Just cancelled an order with Soaphutch I made back in the beginning of November. Seems he's got a surgery in the future. My recommendation would be to NOT order a soap mold from ANYONE even remotely close to the holidays....ANY holiday. You will hear all sorts of excuses. Bottom line is they are micro businesses, and they like their time off when they want their time off... customer be damned.
NEVER MORE!!!

because people will pay it.
some things I'm willing to pay a premium for - aren't you? lotion and soaps could be priced like and sold as commodities, but they aren't for the simple reason that people don't think of them that way and so are willing to pay more for some than others, whether it's the brand, the marketing, the packaging, or the scent.
I love lush scents, and I buy lush products as a treat to myself. Even the soaps, tho they aren't as gentle as mine - cuz they smell delicious.
I know this is an older thread, but.....I'd been tempted to try out Lush soaps, but the black olive fiasco completely turned me off

Once you hit 'calculate recipe', click on 'view or print recipe' and it will open another page where you can see all amounts of everything.

non here either

Just addressing the ash issue~~I'm a geller~~the only way I've found that can kinda sorta guarantee (and I'm using that term very loosely) that you won't get ash, or at least reduce it, is to put plastic wrap over the top of the batter once it's in the mold. I quit doing that quite a while ago because to me it was just another step, and ash doesn't really bother me anyway.

Mimosa and Mandarin
Violet Lime
Both hold their scent very well. No problems at all.

An oldie but goodie from SW is Green Irish Tweed. It works great in both CP soap and 6006.

Candles:
Mistletoe, hands down (CS)
Apple Jack and Peel (CS)
Lavender, Apples, and Oak (AH/RE)
Soap:
Roobios (AH/RE)
Citrus and Teak (GL)
Lavender/Patchouli mix (EOs)
These are our favorites year-round:)
There are a bunch more we love, though~~it was hard to pick just 3!
-
Sorry you've had an unpleasant experience. I don't buy from them often either since I'm a hobbyist, but I've never had a CS problem with them~~actually quite the contrary.
-
This scent smells awesome~~melting a tin in my warmer now!
I can't find any reviews for this in CP soap~~can anyone help? I've tried to search here, plus looked on the Scent Review board, and there's nothing.
TIA!

I just looked on custom.gov.au and the customs tariff rate for books is "free". I'm going to check 'other' and put 'books'.
(If I'm understanding it correctly, anyway :rolleyes2 )

Maybe I'm being anal, but I need advice on this~~
I sold some used pb books on ebay to someone in Australia...not thinking about customs.
So after researching, I learned about the custom forms, appropriate boxes/shipping etc~~no big deal. But what's bothering me is the part on the form about the tariffs?!?!? Technically this was a business transaction, but it's not anything I, or anyone else has manufactured. Should I select 'gift', or....what?? That would be dishonest, and this is bugging me.
Any advice or info would be appreciated! TIA

I just don't understand what the deal is with either Silvermoon or Upland. I only have one from each company, and had no problems with CS, or quality. Must've ordered them at the 'right' time or something? But a consumer shouldn't figure on a crapshoot when they put in an order for something, KWIM?
There's definitely a market for silicone molds, and I just don't understand what the problem is with these companies and they're current (or historic) lack of CS.

Very nice! I really like the look of your coffee one

Thank you for the very informative video! I'd given up on swirls, but I think I'm going to try it again
Beautiful soap!

I'm not sure that there's any coconut fo that works right in CP. I tried 3 different kinds a few months ago, and had no luck. And when I researched it, I found out that no one else has had much luck w/ it either (morphs or fades). It's a shame, because it would make an awesome smelling soap

Made in China.
Don't even get me started

The view/print page is pretty, but I like to be able to put in total oils as pounds and get the gram wt of each individual oil on the same page. Same goes for the lye concentration when I play w/ the water %. But all in all it's nice, and will just take some getting use to.

I use a tupperware pitcher most of the time, but once in a while a 4 cup pyrex.
-
AH/RE Roobios (red tea)
I agree w/ Flicker's Kai, it's a really nice tropical floral fragrance, not overpowering.
-
It is awesome. In 6006 (both wicked and wickless), and in CP soap, the fragrance goes on, and on, and on. I love it!
-
I'm thinking it's probably cooler weather too, but wether or not it reaches full gel, it will still be the same soap as the other batches:) After a few weeks, the discoloration should fade a bit and not be as noticeable.

I didn't like the Essence of Jesus OOB, but it turned out really nice in CP soap. Don't know about candles, but it was nice enough that I plan to get more of it, plus some of the Essence of Bethlehem.
