  1. Ugh, this could end up being more difficult than I thought. LOL

So much of the stuff is in boxes up on shelves and to be able to photograph the contents would mean pulling all of the boxes down, which I'm not able to do. I'm leaning more towards Craigslist at this point since it would be easier for someone local to just come see everything for themselves.

I do have a call in to a friend asking if she would be willing to come help me with pictures but she's working all week and won't be able to help until the weekend.

  2. Trust me, if I had the time to inventory everything and get a system set up to be able to sell in small lots I definitely would. We are talking 5+ years worth of me buying supplies .... an entire bedroom turned into my work area with cabinets, tables, and shelves that are loaded down. LOL

On top of having to get rid of everything I just had hernia surgery and am not allowed to lift over 10 lbs so it would be difficult to try to lift and weigh a lot of the stuff for shipping.

  3. We will be moving soon and I will not have my own space for my craft anymore so I need ideas on how to sell off my entire supply inventory. I never got serious about selling my products so I never saw the need to actually INVENTORY my supplies so I was thinking along the lines of selling it all to someone who would be willing to come pack it up and take it away since it would take me quite awhile to inventory everything (time that I don't have). We're talking supplies enough to start a small, at home candle and b&b biz here. LOL

What are your suggestions or ideas?

  4. I have a silicone mold very similar to that and what I did was actually cut a slit down one entire side. I put a rubber band around the mold when I pour and then just take the band off and open the mold to remove the candle. It doesn't leak and it makes it easy to remove the candle without messing it up.

  5. If you have a large mailing list be wary of Mail Chimp. They can be a great service if you don't get many people unsubscribing but if you have 3-4 people unsubscribe they will freeze your account pending an "internal investigation". This isn't just a one time thing either, each time you send a newsletter and get those unsubscribes, the account gets frozen.

Not a big deal if you send out monthly or fewer newsletters because they typically complete the investigations in 3 - 5 days.

Just wanted to give a heads up so no one freaks out if they sign up.

  6. Both of those wicks are too big. The CDN for sure, that melt pool is way too deep for those burn times.

I'd go down 2 sizes on the CDN and 1 size on the HTP and do another set of testers. It is not essential to get a full melt pool on the 1st few burns. Usually if you are getting FMP on the 1st burn then once the candle burns down you're going to find that the jar is getting way too hot and the melt pool too deep. If you have the right size wick you'll usually get some hangup on the 1st burn or 2 but by the 3rd or 4th burn there is enough of a chimney effect to create enough heat to melt any residual wax.

  7. Weebly uses the PayPal shopping cart interface, very simple and easy to use.

My partner played around with Weebly to see how it functioned and to see if it would be a viable shopping cart platform to refer our customers to and she loved the ease of use.

If you want to see an example of a customized template on a Weebly store you can take a look at http://designmycart.weebly.com. That's the store she was working with and I see that she's changed it again since the last time I looked. LOL
