  1. I had a customer who used a scentsy warmer and for some reason my melts wouldn't melt all the way, like around the sides of the bowl. I finally figured out why. She had the warmer almost right under a ceiling fan. And the only reason I figured that out was because I had my warmer (not scentsy) sitting nearly under the ceiling fan and it was doing the exact same thing. The sides looked all funky and not completely melted. So not sure if that maybe an issue or not but it was for me. And so I solved the mistery of the scentsy warmer LOL

  2. Check with bayousome.com. The service is top notch, and they do everything possible to keep costs down. They're in GA, but it won't hurt to compare the whole picture. The only drawback is that you have to buy a min of 50 for most items.

I was going to suggest them also. Definately check them out!

  3. Yeah they were cloth with the drawstring. I swear I still have one someone in my work room so I'm gonna try and find it today and I'll post a pic. It's driving me nuts that I can't remember where I ordered them from!

I checked out papermart but they didnt have what I was looking for.

  4. I've never used either to pour wax into but I use the platic portion cups you get from like a restraunt and those don't melt so I would think these would be just fine. I did try using the little metal containers that come in alittle case a long time ago to make up a sample set of scents but I wasnt happy with those, they just seemed so small so now I just have a bag filled with 1oz portion cups, each labeled with the scents and that works great.

  5. I use my big melter (turkey fryer) to just melt my wax and then weigh out the amount of melted wax I'm going to use in a metal pour pitcher and then add my FO into the pitcher. Not sure if your using a big turkey fryer or a presto pot. If your the presto pot, which I've melted down my "mistake" pillars that already are scented in one of those and when I'm done I just wipe it out with paper towel while it's still hot. Hope that helps :smiley2:

  6. While I was out shopping over Christmas I seen that Walmart had an end cap all set up with clamshell tarts for $2 a package but as soon as I opened them and smelt them I seen why they were only $2 they were very low quality. I get alittle frustrated with it but I always figure if my customers decide to try those I know they be back for mine in no time at all :wink2:

  8. My last order from onlinelabels were the same...thin and grainy not smooth at all. I had called them and they too had said the manufacturer had changed the full sheet clear labels. I have been using them for awhile and actually like them now. They kinda "grew" on me. I usually cut my own labels and when making lotion bottle labels I use wide tape to cover my labels so they don't smear and these thinner ones work better for that I think because I don't end up with a super thick label after added the over lay of tape.

  9. A while back I poured my first pillars with 1343 added 3tbs steric/lb 1/2oz fo/lb and poured at about 180. I did three layers the mottled look came out great but tons of pin holes so I put it aside and decided last night to try again. I did the exact same above but poured one at about 165 thinking maybe the first time I poured too hot thus the pin holes and poured the other two at about 180. This time no pin holes in any of them but didnt get much of a mottled look at all. The only thing I did different this time is I used silicone release spray (the first time I just used cooking spray) and didn't do a layer look just one full color pillar, maybe I used to much dye? One I used color chips and the others I used liquid dye. Does the silicone spray have any affect in achieving the mottled look or will too much dye affect the outcome? I'm so frustrated!!! I figure I can just remelt these and pour again right? I'm taking a break gonna make some dinner and watch Survivor and maybe I'll go back down to these buggers and try again. Any suggestions on what I'm might be doing wrong or any tips are more than welcomed :smiley2:
