  1. I have problems getting responses. Emails don't get answered. Also my site seems to be unavailable quite often, yesterday around 4PM was the latest time.

For some reason my reply to you was deleted? Hmm wonder why?

Anyhow, as mentioned in my last reply in case you didn't see it. You are not a DIY client, you are an EZShoppe client. Two totally different systems, two totally different servers and different client support. Please make sure you are using the correct support email address listed on the website for support.

Now hopefully this post won't get deleted.

    Thank you!

  2. tammyc,

I am sorry but as of yesterday I have NOT received any check from this company. So perhaps you need to contact them and find out what is going on.

And sorry, I do not hand out my SS # to just anyone, especially someone I don't know.

I have not stopped communication with you. I received an email from you this past Sat. and I have replied to it. I do not work the weekends so it usually takes me a couple days to reply to email received over the weekend.

And to anyone else that has made comments about my company. I will assure you that I am a legitimate business. I file a tax return every year and I pay the good ol IRS a large chunk every year. I am not trying to hide from the IRS. I do not need a EIN because I do not have employees that I pay taxes on. Everyone that works for me is a indepentant contractor and receives a 1099 at the end of each year. I use my SS # and file as a sole proprietor. I have a business checking account and a DBA. So I am as legal as it gets and I pay my fair share to the IRS every year.

I will assure you that I am NOT going out of business! I have been doing this for 5 years now and plan on doing it for MANY MANY MANY more years to come. I have almost 1000 clients. This is not just a side business for me. This is a major company for me, this is my life. Signups are closed, which just means we aren't taking on any new clients. I am in the middle of doing upgrades and want to devote my time to that. So again DIYeStores.com is NOT going out of business!

    :)

    Thank you.

  3. Actually I didn't want cheap. You quoted me the $6.00 per shirt instead of the original $10.00. You gave the discount because I bought so many.

You said "You get what you pay for. I don't think you get much for 6.00 shirt"!

Does that mean you sent me a less quality shirt because you only charged me $6.00 instead of the $10.00 it would have been if I bought only one?

And I'm sorry but mine did fade and I know some others did but I don't think they would ever complain about a tshirt they got for free at a convention plus all shirts made with an iron-on fade over time. With the cafepress site it is dyed into the shirt and thus doesn't fade like an iron-on design would and was the point of my post.

Nothing against you but I was just answering a post and gave my input.

  4. DIY-Estores - I'm not a country girl. And the country look, it's definitely not me in the slightest. I scrolled through their gallery, and clicked on the few that were less countryish, but they usually had custom template design work done by someone...something we can't afford to do right now. Also, from their "supplied" template pages, everything had kraft colored backgrounds. Yikes! I hope there are options to change that, but I'm probably not going to risk it. Also, I read quite a few negative things about them in these forums. Enough for me to be very cautious.

You don't have to be country at all to setup a website with DIYeStores.com. We have several clients that are non country. And the free layouts are just a layout, the way the web graphics are displayed. The kraft backrgounds are not there. Whichever color background you use will be what is displayed.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Thanks :) and good luck to you!

  5. The sites looks Awesome!! You did a Great job! Good luck with it!

A little advice if you are wanting to get picked up by the search engines. I noticed you are using images for your text on your website (welcome, product description, etc.). Search engines use the text (content) on a website when they index it so it's highly recommended that you have good wording with keywords. Using images like you are doing doesn't help with that. Also I noticed you don't have any meta tags (title, description and keywords). You will want to add these as well to help with the search engine rankings. This is of course if you are looking to get your site indexed. If it's just for local people that you know then I guess you wouldn't really need that! :)

Anyhow, hope this helps! I wish you all the best!!

  6. If you go with a printed design, I suggest cafepress! I have used them as well as the one mentioned above and cafepress is much higher quality. The design is actually dyed into the tshirt and not an iron-on transfer so it looks alot more professional and last a long longer! Yes it's a bit more but if you are doing them for your business, I would go with the best quality and remember it's a tax deduction.

I used the other website last year for the tshirts for my convention attendees and mine has faded, although the image is still there, it does look worn. But done of the cafepress ones I have bought are this way. I plan on using cafepress for the convention tshirts this year.

Oh also you can signup for your own cafepress shop and create your tshirts that way and get the discounted price for them as well. That is what I do. And there are always coupons out there. Go to google.com and type in cafepress coupons and you will find sites with listings of them. I just saved an additional $10.00 off 3 tshirts the other day.

  7. I'll be posting the special probably on Thursday or Friday of this week.

We are in the process of a big network change and will actually be down for a couple days so I have signups closed until the switch. But once that is complete, I will be opening back signups and will post the special. It's a Great special too :)

    Thanks everyone!!

  8. I personally don't know anyone that does this but if you can't find anyone here you can do a search on google for oscommerce templates and you will come up with a ton of places that do. Also you might want to check their message boards, as I am sure there are many there that do them as well.

On your other question regarding DIY shop and Euro currency. Not sure who you are referring to when you say DIY-Shop? But with DIYeStores, here is what we support.

Multiple Currencies Options - The shopping cart supports the following currencies:

    English - United States

    English - United Kingdom

    English - Canadian

    English - Australia

    English - New Zealand

    Good luck to you! :)

  9. You don't have to know HTML to use DIYeStores.com. It comes with the option for you to use plain text, use a WYSIWYG editor (which is a point and click type editor) OR to use HTML. So you have a few options.

I do agree with Nodtveidt that HTML is always good to know and it's not hard to learn, especially the basics. We do provide just basic sample codes in our documentation. like how to enlarge text, center text, change colors, etc. All are basics and easy to use. But again, it's optional! :)

    Hope this helps!!

PS. I am getting ready to post a special for candletech members for hosting. Just waiting on access to the supplier area. So if you want to signup you might want to use that special! :)

  10. Chauna,

Yes it is like create a shoppe. They both use the same softeware. So that was just my point that DIY does not use the same system they use. Again not putting it down, just didn't want to confuse anyone into thinking we use the same system.

And you didn't offend me at all so need to say you are sorry! :)

    Thanks!!!

  11. Chauna,

Actually the setup (backend) is much different as well! :)

And I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just don't want people to think what we offer and what they offer are the same or that they work the same way, as they don't!

Using the Mals free cart is fine for some but there are people out there that do not want to use a free shopping cart or an open end source software. And DIYeStores is NOT either of those, so just want to make sure anyone considering DIY knows that! :)

    Thanks!

  12. Check out Designer 218. The setup is similar to DIY Stores. The owner is great to work with. Very helpful.

    Chauna

Just wanted to point out that DIYeStores.com does NOT offer the same type of system as they do. They are offering a site builder only. We offer a FULL eStore builder. BIG difference!

I think alot of people get confused with that. With their site builder, you still need to use a 3rd party shopping cart (Mals). With DIYeStores.com you do NOT need a 3rd party shopping cart. Ours is a complete system and comes with the shopping cart already built-in.

Just want to make that clear so people don't get confused on what they are getting with DIYeStores.com!

    Thanks!!
