  1. That other board has a supplier complaint form that you need to fill out, if you choose to complain about any supplier.

As for a moderator posting that they are excited about a particular supplier.. Did she post that as a moderator or as a member of the board?

If you have specific instructions about a package delivery, it would be the smart thing to include it in the notes section of your order

  2. What deb said.

My first soaps were all grocery store soaps.

I think my first one was crisco, OO and coconut.

Nothing fancy, but not a bad soap, at all.

I got really adventurous, then and tried lard, castor, grapeseed, cannola.. all things I could find in the local grocery store.

The coconut was that ugly yelloworange stuff, that they use for popcorn, so needless to say, all my first soap were some shade of yellow.

I still have several bars of a margarine soap I made.

    That puppy is rock hard.

  3. I have several pounds of gel, but am "scared" of it.

I really need to do more research, before even attempting it.

I got it at a craft store that was closing out, a few years ago.

They were practically giving it away.

I just have to figure out.. wicking, fo's, containers, etc :laugh2:

  4. Once again, thanks for making me feel really bad about not reading the entire post. I'm so wondering why it was even necessary to revive this once again. Geez, newbie - newbie mistake. Have your laugh then get over it please.

Because I just joined and hadn't seen it, and bumped a few other threads, too.

  5. Some people have cited studies where borax was deemed to slow brain development in children. That was large amounts, though

Look at the amount of borax in this recipe. it's a very small amount. divided among at least 8 BB and then diluted in about 35 gallons of water, it would be barely a trace.

If you're leery about it, you could probably omit it completely

  6. When I make something like this, I color just one of the ingredients, then mix everything together. It's a visual aid for me. It helps me know, that I've got everything mixed really well.

  7. I've never tried a recipe, unless I read the whole thing. If it had 33 pages, I read the entire 33 pages. The final recipe often has many changes and bears little resemblance to the original.

Once the sodium poopinate showed up, it was sort of obvious it was a joke. Even the title "for those who want to make a quick buck" is a big clue.
