  1. Wouldn’t you know that the one that did have the spots on the side has the best throw! I used Peaks Cornucopia on that one. The other three I used Peaks Cappuccino Hazelnut Coffee and have never had a strong throw with that one, but BOY do they look pretty! WOOO HOOO

I will be taking a photo tomorrow and re-learning how to add a photo to this site...I am RUSTY!

  2. I know this will not be a big deal to all of you professionals, BUT TO ME...HUGE!!!

I finally made 4 container candles with no spots on the side of 3 of them. WOO HOO! My husband said I think these are the best candles you have made.

I had to come here and jump for joy! WOOOOO HOOOOO

*getdown* :bliss: :whoohoo: *super banana* :yay::D

  3. My best friend and I were talking about our favorite fall scents and we both said that our most favorite scent is the smell of dust burning during the first start up of the heater in your home. Are there any fragrances that contain that smell? Are we crazy? Are we the only ones who love that smell?

I am not sure it would smell good in a candle, but I think some combo of a fall fragrance and that could be cool!!:meditate: it would help me chill (relax) during the nasty summer months.

I keep looking at all of these beautiful soaps, with deep dark colors, and I gotta ask you. When you lather the soap, does it discolor your skin? When I get to Colorado, I am going to attempt soap! So excited!!!

  5. Worlds dumbest questions I know! Just wanted to state that so you don't get overwhelmed by how dumb my question is.

    1) What is a lotion bar? (So embaressed:embarasse :embarasse :embarasse :embarasse :embarasse )

    2) would this be a good starter project (I am thinking of using this as my first B&B attempt)

Go ahead, mock me, laugh at me ( I know I am laughing at me too!)

  6. Not sure if this is the correct place to post so please forgive if I have posted in the wrong place! (move me if I have posted in the wrong place and I will beg forgivness:whip:

DH and I are moving in Jul-Aug time frame. What is the most safe manner in which to move my supplies (wax, FO, color etc)

I know the military won't allow their movers to move candles so I am concerned as I have quite a bit invested in my testing supplies!:embarasse

  7. The other day I was making some candles. I have a digital scale for figuring out weight of FO/Wax etc...Well I poured the FO in a plastic container. Next day the plastic container was broken. Cracked all over the place. Got any ideas what caused this? Just curious. I will use glass in the future

  8. Well I kept it all under 200.00 so DH is happy. I had to stock up:embarasse

I got a bunch of different testers and a few that I LOVE from them. Couple new molds, so when DH is gone, my house should be smelling GOOD! I will post pics, I have some art-sy ideas. We will see how they work out! I feel good about everything I got but wicks. I got those from bitter creek, I just guess I will have to test, test, and test some more!:whip:

  9. Hello All!

DH is leaving town for a few weeks and I plan on being a candle making fool! SO I am going to order supplies today from Peak. Any favorite FO's from there that I should try? I will be making containers and pillars. Even going to try my hand at votives! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
