good thought.

Your welcome!

there not perfect, but I think they look pretty good. I didn't expect them to look as good as they do. I layed the wrap on the counter and smoothed it out the best I could. I pulled it tight as I wrapped it and then smothed it out again after it was wrapped with my finger.

YIKES!! This sure sounds like a lot of work for the little money I made the last 2 months of last year.

Thanks everyone! I picked up some of Sam's Choice plastic wrap from walmart and used some scrapbooking paper and wraffia with it and they turned out Great!! Much better than when I used shrink wrap.
Thanks again!!

thanks! I'm going to have to try that!

Is there a good way to package m&p so that people can still smell it and see it? I was shrink wraping, but I don't really like to do it that way. I have an antique shop that wants to possible sell my soap, so I want to have packaging that looks nice but that you can still see and smell the soap.
Thanks!

Thanks Robin that makes it even easier!!!

Thanks!! That does help. You explained it very well. Off to make some lip balm!!
-
I'm making a lip balm with these ingredients
13g cocoa butter
25g grams olive oil
12g beeswax
5 vitamin e capsules
Flavor Oil
Flavor oils says to use 2-4%. My question is how do I know what 2-4% is?
Also, can you add to much Flavor Oil?

Thanks for everyones help!!
I put in an order at MMS a couple of days ago and went with the Soy Wax instead of beeswax. I bought a few pots and tubes so I can try both. Now we will have to see if I can actually make something out of the things I bought!
Thanks again to everyone!

what else would be considered a cosmetic wax ? Are there any that you can buy locally or do they have to be ordered on line? And are Mango and Cocoa butter considered a hard butter? Sorry so many questions, I am new to this.
Thanks for your help!!
-
Is it possible, or do you need the beeswax to make it harden? I wanted to try to make some, but don't think that there is any place local that I can buy beeswax.
-
Couldn't you use the cosmetic glitter you would find in the make up department at Walmart or Target?

Right now I have SFIC and Crafters Choice. They seem to be very similar. I'm trying to decided which one to use. I think it is easier to get the Crafters Choice, plus it is a little bit cheaper. Unless, there is a co-op for SFIC.
-
Can it also be used as a body spray?
Thanks!
-
Thanks!! I will check them out.
-
Thanks!! That does help! I'm going to order some samples.
-
If so, what did you think? I'm thinking of ordering their sample body/hair set.
-
Thanks! I might have to try that. Or I thought I might try liquid castile soap. I will let you know if I have anything else that doesn't have it that isn't really expensive.:smiley2:
-
I think I'm just going to buy liquid castile soap and give it a try.
-
Candleman did you ever find a good base without sles and sls? I'm looking for that type of base also.
Thanks!
-
If so, how do you like it? I want to make shower gel and am trying to decide what base to use. I would like to use one as close to natural as possible. For sure without SLS.
Thanks!

Is Ammonium Laureth Sulfate worse or better for you than SLS?
