Hi, been in here for a while, been too busy (or demented :rolleyes2 ) to post. I want to know what you all use for blue colour in m&p, that will not fade in sunlight. the stuff I have fades within hours and is useless.

stephenson's olive oil base makes a terrific shaving soap, just as it is.

I once mixed 2 liquid colours by mistake and got a beautiful dark fudge brown...it was green & something, cant remember if it was red or blue. If you get desperate, try it ! lol

I make only m & p, and colour it inside the mould. Use a syringe, you get used to it and you get faster. Spray with surgical spirits after, then wait an hour & add the second colour. Dont wait more than a few hours , sometimes it splits when you use the soap if you wait too long..... its easier if the soap is still a teeny bit warm.
I don't understand how you can do it outside the mould and still get a neat job ....? Mary

I have never seen anything like this, its amazing. How do you make it ?? I haven't ever heard of this before and would love to play with it. Is it a ready-bought base ?

well, clear soap is ok, it's opaque that is giving me problems. I have to cut it half and half with clear and use ultramarine blue, but there must be a liquid colour that doesn't fade !
