Of course I practice medicine without a license LOL!
😂😂😂 Me too! I’m always giving “medical” advice to my family, whether they want it or not!
I’ll definitely try both! I am hypo and my levels always come back “normal” even though I haven’t felt normal in quite some time. The best I have felt, since having my hysterectomy, was when I was on hormone replacement. But the estrogen gave me a bad skin reaction that was unbearable. My Dr. wouldn’t accept that it was the estrogen causing my problems and wouldn’t keep me on the progesterone and testosterone without the estrogen 🙁 so I stopped going to her. We live in a very rural area and most of our gyno’s are male, they don’t think hormone replacement is necessary and most won’t even consider it!

Does anyone use an e/o blend to balance hormones related to menopause? I’ve found various blends online, but would like to hear from someone who has actually used one.

Thank you both, this makes me feel better. DH says I’m too OCD about some things and my candles are one of those things 😝 I’ll try to get a pic today. 😊

Hey all, I am Currently using KYSOY, single wicking 8 ounce square mason jars and double wicking 26 ounce apothecary jars. I typically use one of three types of wicks, HTP’s, CD’s or Cotton. My problem is with scents that contain spices, especially cinnamon, I can’t for the life of me get a good burn without excessive mushrooming. I’ve tried wicking down, but usually don’t get a good melt pool. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
TIA

I’ve had this happen a time or two, but not on purpose 😂 Occassionally I will get busy and my wax will set up too much on me. I have a small metal cooling rack, like for cakes and cookies, I sit my pot on it over a pot of boiling water. Be careful though, the steam from the water will cause condensation on the outside of your pot and boy does it burn when it drops on ya!

I knew I should have just walked away from this thread...😫 Oh well, whatta’ ya gonna do? 😂

I guess that would help a bit...lol
I’m currently using KY Soy 125 but might be looking at something else for the Pineapple Cilantro. I’m working on a special candle for a very dear friend of mine, she’s a Disney junkie. I’m wanting go to make her a layered candle in the Pineapple Cilantro that’s the colors of Mickey Mouse, red, yellow & black.
thanks

Finally, after a couple of moves & some life circumstances, I am able to start making candles again 🎉 Oh how I have missed it!
I am looking to add a few new scents that customers have ask about, but since having been out of the loop for awhile, suppliers have changed somewhat. I currently use AH/RE, JS & CS for most of my fragrances, but what are some thoughts about suppliers for the following?
Home Sweet Home (Yankee Dupe)
Pink Sands (Yankee Dupe)
Salted Caramel
Pineapple Cilantro (or something else similar to Disney’s Sole Whips)
Some sort of Coffee or Coffee Blend
TIA

Thank you both so much, I need some things from Candle Science anyway, so i may give their liquid black a try.

Hey all, I hope this is the right place for this question. I am using KYSOY125 and am needing to dye it black for a special candle for a friend. I am currently using the color dye flakes from AH/RE for my candles, but was wondering if that would be the best way to go or if something else might work better.
TIA

Thank You :-) I will definitely check into it!

Has anyone tried this? and how similar is it to KY Candle Wax's Soy Whip? Life has gotten quite busy for me, so I stopped making bath and body products several years ago. My mom loved the KY Soy Whip and ask me to make her some, but since they are no longer in business and R/E doesn't carry the Soy Whip, I'm left looking for a good alternative. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

It's more symbolic than for scent, but I want it to at least be close. My friend is from Louisville and wants something bourbon because of the Bourbon Trail.
-
Thank you both! I think I'll give em both a try, I love bakery and food scents for myself :-)

I've been ask to make some sampler size candles for gift bags, my friend wants something bourbon scented. I'm not a bourbon connoisseur, so I would have no idea how closely it resembled true bourbon. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know of a good recipe/recipes for tightening your skin? I checked in the recipe section and didn't find anything. I have recently lost 30 pounds and even though I lost it over the course of a few months, my skin hasn't bounced back like I want it to. I am getting older, but that's no excuse right? LOL

Hi all, I apologize if this has been ask and answered, but i couldn't seem to find anything. Does anyone have a recipe for bath crackles? They're like poprocks for the tub. I've been buying the Mr. Bubbles brand at Wal-Mart, for the kiddos, but you don't get very much for $1.00. My kiddos go through them faster than poprocks. lol
TIA
