  1. I made a small order to scent works, and they sent my oils, minus one...saying they were out of stock. Now I make orders calculating in shipping (because my orders are small) and would have waited if I knew this was out of stock, rather than them just not sending it, and sending the other oils. I got no email notification that this was the case, which I would have preferred. I also could have made a substitution.

Is this a normal way to do business? I was not impressed. When I emailed to enquire about this, I also got no apology, just a 'we were out of stock' and 'happy holidays'! They did not offer to resend it once their stock was back in (which it was by the time I received my oils. They also sad they made 'adjustments', but for me to go back and look, it would take a lot of time on my part to access my cc company records, because I made a lot of purchases in December.

    Anyone else have similar experience?

  2. "The time it took to post on here you could have had your answer. I'm not giving you crap,"

Hi, I was/am wary of contacting a company I will do future business with to complain about a mix=up on a $2.00 something oil. I posted this because I felt the need to do so, as I felt others may have had a similar problem and could give advice.

  3. Hi, I recently ordered some royal aromatics samples. One of them is wrong- instead of sending me carolina h. 212, they sent carolina h.

This is just a small sample...but I am disapointed. Is it worth it to contact them, or should I just forget it? the rest of the samples were great.

    thanks

  6. Hi, thanks for your comments on this situation-- that's why it is hard to order online, unsniffed. I think I will stick with companies that offer sniffies- I did get some from Scent works, and they smelled good-- why didn't I order from them? I guess I wanted to start with some basic scents (and the price was right-- but not in the long run). Live and learn.

Just to clarify-- I used descriptors to describe-- the best I could-- the scents I got. And I didn't like them. You are right that scents are subjective, I agree- that's why everyone has their personal favorites. But I am not sensitive to fragrance- I am a fragrance addict, in a way, and can tolerate most scents, more than the average person-- I know that for sure!!

  7. Hi,

I might be doing something wrong, as I just bought (via net) 11 2 0z FO from a reputable, but not widely used (like PEaks, ect) supplier.

I got: Birthday Cake (smells like a very strong almond oil), Coconut Lime Verbena (pure Lime), Coco-Mango (not sure about this one- not coco at all), Marshmallow (very light, has bits of white stuff sinking at bottom), coconut creme pie (smells plasticky), Angel wings (smells like pure soap), SAtin sheets (just smells bad), Beachin (smells really fakey/plasticky).

The blackberry, cotton candy, and passionate kisses are okay.

This supplier has been lightly written about on here, as having good and strong oils, but not many other comments.

Did I make a mistake in not going to a well-known company like just scents, or am I doing something wrong? I tried making a tart w/ birthday cake, and while the scent seemed strong, it was not appealing.

Thanks for your help-- I am just starting out.
