If you are having fragrance oil created for you, make sure that it is a fragrance developed for candles and that it is also developed for the type of wax you are using.  I've had customers send in fragrance for us to make candles for them and it is a fragrance that was developed for a air diffusers.  The fragrances doesnt blend correctly and has no throw.

We have blends with up to 10% micro and they still work very well, but it is true that it will decrease cold throw.  Try slowly reducing micro % by 0.5 - 1% at a time and see if that helps increase cold throw.  whatever you reduce the micro by, I would increase paraffin, soy, palm or a combination of those.

what reason are you adding in PE waxes?

Are these container candles or freestanding votives, pillars, etc?

HTP-52 is what we use in poured unscented C3 tealights.  You could also try 41 or 62.

In my experience it is due to a difference in cooling time.  Usually it is a warm side.  Are you pouring a bunch of candles at the same time and are you cooling the candles near each other?  If so is it the side that is close to another candle cooling?
