im relatively new to candle making but I’m finding with some of the scents I use for my candles they end up smelling like co2 when lit! same wick, same wax, same melting and pouring temperatures, just the scents are different. I feel like I’m wasting money on scents and wax that end up smelling like co2. You can still smell the scent but it’s almost overpowered by the co2 smell.
the smell reminds me of when co2 is emitted from a gas stove or a lighter.
