I've been buying spools of wick, because so much is out of stock lately(Canada), & priming myself. I use Millenium soy, & HTP/Premier wicks, and I'm wondering if anyone knows the best wax to prime with to get sturdy wicks. I've read to prime with the same wax in your container candle, but Millennium is so soft. I don't know a whole lot about stearin, but was wondering if I could dip them in that???

Priming a wick

I did try a 185 degree paraffin but it flakes off if I have to trim the top, or when I squeeze the sustainer(I don't touch the wick itself with pliers). The pre wicked come so rigid! I'm not too familiar with beeswax, but have been told it has it's own smell, and don't want that to alter my scents. Would rybar work? I'm at my wits end!
