  1. I just got the Biolage Matrix and I LOVE it. I sold a lot of body sprays and hair fresheners and I just got my bottle in Tuesday. The Lick me all over is great too in a candle and body products. Australian bamboo grass smells awesome for a room spray. Mountain fresh downy is good but i cannot get it to smell in a candle. The ones I didn't like are beach daisy & mardi gras. But I will definitely got the ones above again, for sure the Biolage.:yay:

  2. Did you think about emailing him? I did and even called and ended up satisfied with the shipping. I checked it out on UPS site and it was very close. Seems the shipping in the cart was fine for some and not for others. It was not a big deal to go through to try the fragrances for that price.

I did email them to let them know that I would never EVER order from them again. I never got a response.

  3. I just received a package that weighed 27 lbs, but the invoice said it weighed 64 lbs. I double checked it on my scale and it is exactly 27 lbs. My question is, is it right to over charge that much for shipping. I usually do not pay a lot of attention to that, but just lately I have noticed a lot of really high charges on shipping. And the shipping was really high on gift bags, It was either 40 or 60.00 i will have to double check and see exactly what it was. Is anyone else noticing this?

  4. I ordered 11 lbs of oil and the shipping was 49.00, lets just say I was pissed:angry2:. I will never order from this company, this was my first time and the very last. I will tell everyone I know not to ever trust people like this. I think this is a ripoff and it just not right. I would rather pay 7.50 for the oil and have a decent shipping. I think this is so dishonest and I don't like to deal with people like that.

  5. I ordered lotion base and lip balm base friday night, and omg i got it today. I have NEVER had anything come to me that fast. I love the lotion base and i will be ordering more for the holidays, i am not about to test the hemp and jojoba lip balm i will let you all know how it turns out. Great customer service and wonderful products. I have had lots of bad luck with the products that i was getting, not that they were bad but i just didn't care for some of it. So thank you soapers workshop keep it up. Lyndie:cool2:

  6. Is it drying without the cyclo?

I know cyclo helps reduce greasies, but it looks like this lotion is already pretty non-greasy on its own.

Not sure whether you can add other moisturizing things like carrier oils without disrupting the preservation. Maybe ask Nature's Garden if there's room for additives.

Its drying both ways with and without cyclo. I just did't know what to add to it. I have two gallons of this stuff and didn't want it all to go to waste.

  7. i just recieved an order from natures garden today and i thought i would try out the lotion base(ritzy). well i have tried to just add fo to it and i added a little clyco it is so drying to my hands. do any of you have the same problem with this? I am new to lotion so maybe i need to add a little something else. Do any of you have any ideas on what to do to help this problem? i ordered 2 gallons ( i know i know). I just don't want to be stuck with all this lotion and not know what to do with it. Any help would be great. Thanks Lyndie:cry2:

DUH!! I DO PAY ATTENTION I FORGOT TO TAKE MY MEDICATION:laugh2:

  9. Hi there, too much liquid is definitely to blame. Also, what sort of color did you use? Did that contain water as well? You really don't need to add even a teaspoon of water, that is too much still. I do like so many others and use a sprayer. One spritz then mix with a wire wisk, squish the mix in my hands to see if it hold its shape. It should be sort of like packed brown sugar, it holds its shape well but does NOT feel wet so just keep spraying until it feels like that. I personally only spritz 3-4 times. If you have coloring that contains water I find it's best to make a little well in the dry mix, then put my oils in there and put the liquid coloring there on top of the oil and quickly but gently mix in to minimize the reaction. I hope this helps! They really need to be VERY firmly packed in molds also, that way they really will not expand at all. Oh and definitely watch the humidity in the house, try to only make these on dry days if you can. :)

    Melany

I used only 2 drop of coloring and our humidity in louisiana in horrible. It has been raining here for weeks and weeks. I did't think the weather would have anything to do with it but i guess i was wrong. Thanks for all the helpful info.Oh and i think i may have spritzed too much witch hazel. I think i just did everything wrong. We'll i will try again Thanks...........

  10. I just started trying to make bath fizzies for my son and i am having no luck with them. I did the recipe and my citric acid started to activate:mad: . I put them in a small muffin tin and the got really big on me and they don't fizz in water. Maybe its the recipe or maybe its just me, here is my recipe

    1 c baking soda

    1/2 c corn starch

    1/2 c sea salt

    1/2 c citric acid

    2 tbsp light oil

    15 drops of fo

    6 tsp witch hazel

    color

I did this and oh what a mess. Does anyone have a good recipe for fizzies or can help me out and let me know what i did wrong. Any suggestions will help out a lot. Thanks

  11. I make candles, linen sprays, body sprays, sachets, some jewerly (but not too much i cant sit down that long), and my newest craft is decoupage plates. I have been playing with decouppage for a few weeks now and it is pretty fun. I just know that this new crafting board will cost me a lot more money, but wth dh will pay for it anyway. I just started doing pillar candles and omg i am about to lost my mind trying to get those things out of the mold. I think in the last two weeks i have said that i will quit making candles about 10 times because it stresses my bad. So this will give me more ideas to get my mind off pillars.

  12. No i didn't try steric because i started off with a palm kit from candlewic and it didn't come in it so i had no clue to use that. I may order some but i sure won't be ordering from candlewic because just to ship a case of wax to me was almost $50.I don't think so. I will look for another supplier with better shipping rates.

  13. I just made a palm pillar candle and can't get it out of the mold. I have researched on ways to release it but i am having no luck at all. This is what i did i sprayed pam in mold for release heated my wax to 203 degrees waited overnight to let it set I put it in the freezer because it wouldn't budge out of the mold, tried to release and it will not move. I read to put a hair dryer to heat it a bit to release but still nothing. I tapped it with a hammer and still no luck. I don't know if these pillars are worth all this drama. And another thing i got my wax from candlewic and i followed the directions for this wax and my candles do not come out having :cry2: the feathered look i have tried about 15-20 of them. I really want this wax to work because it comes out beautiful when they work but mine are far from beautiful. Any help would be great. Thanks , Lyndie

  14. I just got 16 oz of cypress wood from cajun candles and OMG:drool: it is wonderful, but i dont get the name i don't think it smells like cypress at all. I sold over 50 candles in the first week, I cannot keep it and i love it soooo much. It does have a kinda tree smell but mixed with something else but i don't know what the other smell is. I just wanted to let you know because I think you might like it too. It is also clean smelling , I guess you would have to smell it to get your own opinion. OH and it rocks in j-223.
