I have countless bottles of sample FOs that I don't really like but will keep them on hand for when the urge strikes to do some blending...whether for pillars, containers, lotions, scrubs, rebatched soaps, etc , etc.

If I am experimenting or making something for personal use (candles, lotions, soaps, etc) I tend to use FOs that I have on hand,,,,if by chance I have an FO that has been sitting back on the shelf because I didn't really like it, I may blend a little of it with my chosen scent ...heck,  I paid good money for these scents and I will use them up whenever possible.

The most often thing I do with unwanted scents is to make Fart Sprays for use in the bathroom,  no MATTER what the scent is, it is better than the smell that comes out of the'bathroom behind my men!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought about using them as like the poopouri or fart spray as you so lovingly put it, lol. But if I can sell them and get some money back to buy FOs I know I'll use then I will at least try. If no takers than I will definitely use them somehow.

Ooh, I should look into this. I have several samples bottles that I'm not using. It seems like such a waste for them to just sit around in my "lab" when someone else could use them.

That's what I figured too. I don't have much room as it is so I definitely don't have enough room for stuff I'll never use.

You realize we have a classified ads section here, right?  You can post anything you want to get rid of and somebody here can probably make use of it.  You can sell, give it away, ask for just the shipping costs, whatever you want to do with it and see if someone is interested.

No, I had no idea, lmao. I will post it. Thanks!

  4. I have quite a few 1oz bottles and a couple lb bottles from Indigo and Just Scent that I will never use. I tried looking on Facebook for candle and/or fragrance oil destash groups but not sure which ones are good or reliable. Just wondering if anyone has used any FB groups to destash their FO and which ones are legit. Also, if there are any other good methods for destash. TIA

Yes, they are. A nice site with a good variety that is growing daily it seems. AND with flat $7.99 shipping. Jingle Bells is flying out the door!

Man! I was all set with my Holiday fragrances and then here you come along and now I'm thinking I need to order me some more, lol. That shipping is primo

  6. Hello, I'm looking for good blackberry or blackberry pie fragrance oils. Or even perhaps a blend suggestion? I see that TCS (The Candlemakers Store) and (JS) Just Scent have a Blackberry Pie FO. I've never ordered from TCS before, I have ordered from JS though. The first time from JS was a huge miss for me, lol, but I have since ordered a lot of good ones from there. I just got Blackberry Brulee from CandleWic and it smells really good OOB but maybe a little too sweet and without the pie crust note. I also see that TCS has a Blackberry Cobbler that I think may pass as a "pie" scent. Has anyone tried any of these? Or have any other suggestions? Also, who has a good straight Blackberry scent that I can perhaps blend to make a pie scent? TIA

Have you tried RE's toasted marshmallow? It's so yummy and would probably be a good blender. Not much of a toasted note to it but a very rich vanilla.

No I haven't but that sounds amazing! I got the marshmallow bomb from JS which I really like so that might be a good blender as well. I need to order from RE, I've noticed a lot of people like their FOs.

I have peppermint meringue and love it from what I can remember (haven't poured it in a long time) but I don't know what what the one from B&BW"s smells like.

I do have her peppermint bark too and it does have strong chocolate notes so maybe they sent the wrong one.

Thank you for responding. I think I'll try the peppermint meringue. I have a feeling I might just have to figure out my own blend.

  10. First post here! I am looking for a spot on dupe to Bath and Body Works Peppermint Marshmallow. I tried the marshmallow peppermint type from Just Scent because the description sounded identical to that of BBW but it has such a strong chocolate note that it makes me think I didn't get the right FO. It smells more like Peppermint Bark. I've seen a few other places have a peppermint cream but a lot of the reviews mention a chocolate note. The BBW scent does not contain any chocolate notes, it is an amazing peppermint, marshmallow and cupcake type scent. I was thinking of trying Just Scent's Peppermint Meringue because the description sounds close and a review mentions it smells like peppermint marshmallow. Has anyone tried this FO or know where I can get a good dupe? TIA
