I recall having a box that had that grainy look but it was way back when they had just reformulated the wax.  I never had it happen after that and I used C3 for well over 20 years, always "tempering" (melting wax, let get solid and reheat to temp).  I agree it likes a warm room temp but mine was never 75, maybe 70 at best and I always poured very cool when it gets cloudy which was approx 115.  I always heat gun tops to see if any bubbles come up even if smooth, usually they are close to the wick or center if no wick.

Hi kandlekrazy!  What does tempering do for the wax ?  And when you reheat, do you reheat back to the 185 degrees and then add color and FO?

The camouflage lids look very cool! They would make great gift ideas for things like Father's day or Memorial Day.

Yes I get my lids from Fillmore because that is where I buy my jars and some of my FOs. They have so many different kinds of lids to choose from.

This past fall I used purple and orange. They both made my candles and fall labels look fantastic. For Christmas I love using the red and green labels. I also think the light blue would be perfect for winter or snow/frost themed candles. For spring I think I may use the pink and yellow. I buy the lids I want to use for the season and make matching labels that offset and match the lid color so I have a themed line of candles.

Hi Trappeur !  I'm new to this site.  So I hope this message gets to you.  I've been making candles for a few years and I keep reading posts from you.  It's sounds like you make absolutely beautiful candles.  I would love to burn one of yours in my house.

Is there a way for me to purchase one of your candles ?  Do you have a website ? Or do you sell on Etsy ?
