  1. I have used 6006(not huge fan of 6006 but I have not used long enough to appreciate it i guess) and 444. I only use 444 and have had good hot and cold throw. However I have noticed that cold throw and hot throw also has lot to do with FO you use. Some I have that are light and does not give too good cold and hot throw and some do. I am new to candle making so not sure what else is out there. One problem I have noticed with 444 as it shows some cracks in random candles. Hope this helps.

  2. For this wax I pour at 120 to 115 degree. The room temp is around 66 F. Its cooler area and fall is here :-). The weird thing is, it happens to random candles and not all. So I made 3 yesterday with cranberry scent and one of them got cracks and other two are fine. Same, I made vanilla nutmeg last week and one of them got cracks after 2-3 days and others are fine. I am thinking to buy wax warmer large one and put candle in there, hoping it would fix it?!!!!!

I dont know what would be the best way to do this.

  3. Hi

I have noticed that my 3 soy container candles with 3 wicks have cracks everywhere in the wax.  I can see at the bottom as well.I am new to this issue, I am wondering if this is common to have cracks in some soy candles. I do not have the same issue in all my candles using same soy wax from same bag. The only thing that is different is the fragrance oil, i highly doubt that can cause that.

    Please advise.

  4. I have found similar on EAPInnovations. https://eapinnovations.com/ Libbey jars, they updated their site so navigation is pain. However price is best compared to any other web store. The lid is something you may have to buy the glass lid made by libbey or have it custom made in metal or wood finishing. I will try to locate the sites i found for custom lid and post it here. Hope this helps.

Exactly same is available on website like alibaba or aliexpress. I do not order it as I use materials made in USA only or supplied by US based companies. Good luck.

  5. Hi All

I have been making candles for sometime now. I am having issue with cold and hot throw. Some of the soy candle gives medium hot throw whereas some are giving no hot throw at all.

    2 wick jar candles

    I add FO at 150 F to 180 F.

    Pour temperature is 110 to 120 F

I let it cure for one week or more before testing the candle.

    Please advise.
