Good morning!!!
Just curious the easiest way or how others remove wax from their candle melters?
Is it easier to do while still hot ?
I'm finding mine is not popping out after it turns to a solid I was told to freeze it than pop it out
Just wondering how everyone else is doing it!

Hi. I would try an ECO 12 if you have any. I checked Candlewic’s website and that is their suggestion for a 3” diameter container. I just got a couple of pounds of CBL 130 and am going to start testing with CDN’s, CD’s and then zinc cored.
I love the CBL-130 wax
I'm using the ECO series because Bill binder from candlewic suggested that would be a good wick to use with this wax.
I was also.told to try the RRD series
I have ordered some ECO 12's and 14's
Please let me know how the CDN and CD works for you.
Thanks!!!

Ditto exactly what TT said! So you must be using too small a wick. What size wicks are you using? I don't know anything about your wax as I use 464. Like TT said .....I single wick the 8oz tin in a cd 10 and double wick the 16oz in 2 cd 4... Are you curing these candles also and for how long? Like TT said you DO WANT hangup ( or unmelted wax/residue) on the tins.
Trappeur
I cure the candles for 7-10 days
I believe the size wicks I'm using is definitely to small
I'm using ECO 6 & 8's
I need to move up a CPL
I'm gonna try to do that and hopefully it will help
Thanks

Hi I have yet another question...
Man I didn't realize that this hobby I decided to start was gonna be so difficult I enjoy doing it and Don't want to give up and I know it takes a long time but I don't seem to be getting anywhere.
My question is I have switched to using tin containers which I really like alot better
I am using CBL-130 wax from candlewic ( I love this wax)
I am using 8oz with 3" diameter and 16oz with 4" diameter tin containers
I am using the ECO wicks.
Problem they are tunneling like crazy. I know fragrance, colors and lots of other factors come in
But I was wondering if someone could give me a size wick that is at least a good starting point for what I am using?
Do I double wick the 16oz tins idk what to do anymore
Feeling very discouraged

Yes water in pan (I always have water in pan when melting)
No humdifier
And yes I've been using this wax this is the first candle this has happened with
-
No not on direct heat always in a pan
-
No I didn't add anything I added fragrance to the foam...but nothing else
-
Thanks I was told a blend would be to brittle so I was worried about trying
-
No I didn't....
I used my pouring pot
Than I poured in bowl and stirred till it hardened enough to make the foam and let sit for about a week than tested

Hello I was wondering if anyone has ever had this problem it's the 1st for me and I don't know why...
I'm trying to make these beer candles and when I tested them as soon as I lit them it crackled and made a popping sound what would cause that to happen? How do I fix it? I burned for a 2nd time and only did it when I lit it and burned nicely afterwards...

I am so happy at how my first attempt at sundae candles turned out. The ice cream is scented with sugar cookie, and the bottom part is scented with blackberry (from RE). The fruit embeds are from Tropical Breeze Candles.
I made them for myself, my sister & a family friend - who know these are first attempts & no great burn or scent is guaranteed! Lol. I almost hate to do a test burn.
There was enough left for a tiny float in a mini mason jar shot glass.
Those are so cute I'm also making sundae candles just started actually...was wondering how they burned for you...
I'm trying to figure out how to make them burn correctly if it's even possible lol! Yours are really cute!!!

Sure you can. I personally (and this is my personal thoughts only) don't care for them. In my experience I found soy didn't melt quite as nicely, and didn't firm up as well for removal from the burner cold. I also found the scent tended to burn out faster. Again this was just my personal observation when comparing EcoSoya 135, Ez Soy, and IGI 4786 and IGI 4794. Scentsy's wax is more similar to IGI 4786 in my experience. I personally use 4786 BUT again, you can absolutely use a soy wax or a soy blend. Test a variety to see what works best for YOU!
Awesome thanks so much ..I switched to CBL 130 wax..I was using GW444 and really like the blended wax better and wasn't sure how it would do with melts.. haven't tried yet so was looking for opinions
Thank you

Hello everyone...
I've been doing alot of testing with my candles and I can't seem to find the best wicks it has been recommended for me to use the ECO wicks for the wax I'm using I use CBL-130 wax from candlewic it's a para/soy blend.
I was wondering if anyone that uses a blend wax can recommend a favorite wick ...I'm wondering about the wood wicks how they work or if would even work with a blend wax...
I know it depends on alot of different factors but I just want to see what others are using
Thanks appreciate any feedback

I've gotten most of.my scents from candle wic..I'm waiting on Scents to come in from candle science and save on Scents...I'm amazed at all the different places to go.
The strongest scent of gotten is the fresh cut roses I love it also the fruit loops scent I believe I got from VA candle supply.
I can't find a coffee scent to save my life. All the other scents I have received so far have been pretty disappointing I appreciate all the help
