  1. OK, I'm trying to make body butter...there were some great ones in the recent swap I was in. This is my first time to try it! I used CindyM's receipe and subbed with what I had on hand. It is great, like a thick lotion, but my sister is wanting me to create something for her like Victoria's Secret body butter, which I understand is harder, something that you rub your fingers across more than scoop out...does that make sense??

Anyway, here's how I subbed stuff. If anyone has suggestions on making this harder, I'd really appreciate it!

    15.6 ozs Water

    1.5 ozs Steric

    1.5 ozs E-wax

    3 oz FCO

    1 oz cocoa oil

    1 oz poppyseed oil

    2.5 oz olive oil

    3 ozs shea butter

.3 ozs Fo .3 ozs Liquid Par Optima

    .15 ozs Vit E

    .15 ozs cornstarch

    Thanks again for any advice!

  2. Here is a new container that I am trying out. I made this one for a coworker to test for me. She LOVES Peak's Pink Sugar. The logo is new, too. PA made it for me. You guys should check out her logos to go!

Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think.

  3. The scent works has cyclo on sale if anyone needs some. It's like 1 gal for $34, which is a good price. They sent me a coupon code, pm if you want me to send the coupon code to you. I just bought some so I won't be using the coupon.

  4. I love all the colors folks are showing with their CP soaps. Is there anyway to get them in MP soap? All my colors turn pastel. I was wondering about using oxides and mixing them with the FO before adding? Or maybe with melted shea or mango?? Suggestions?

    TIA

  5. Yes, it is the 9 cavity. It does ok. The first couple of times I had trouble getting out the low sweat once it got hard. I've started waiting until it is firm but not set to remove the dividers. Those things were buggers to get out the first two times!

  6. This is in my new Kelsie mold. The embeds are SFIC low sweat white, the overpour is SFIC crystal clear. They are scented Curve for Men. I have lots of friends whose husbands golf, and they are asking for male stuff. What do you think?

  7. I got a case like you are describing from Lonestar. It gave me horrible wet spots, like almost around the whole jar! I called them, and they confirmed there was a mess up. They issued a UPS pick up for the case and sent me another case. The replacement case was creamy, not white, and soft. You should contact your supplier.

  8. I used Darwin's OMH receipe of the board, and they turned out ok so far. I'm put them in 2 oz soap molds and then popped them out onto wax paper. I'm understanding the test is how they do when they dry. *crosses fingers*

    YAY me!

  9. Ok, I do this a little different. I melt my Presto full of wax, just however much I want at a given time...no weighing. But I've done my homework. 16 oz weighed is 20 oz liquid. So I dip out melted wax into a pyrex glass cup with a big ol' black plastic soup ladel (heat resistant).

I have figured out how much liquid wax each jar holds and I pour up how ever much I need to make x number of candles. Then I adjust my FO and color based on 20 liquid oz = 1 pound, kind of a ratio thing.

For example, 20 oz is 600 cc. One jar holds 200 cc. So 600 cc will make 3 candles, and I add 1 oz FO, because it is really still one pound of wax. If I only want to make 2 candles, it's 400 cc wax and 2/3 oz FO.

    Make sense?
