I only make 1 ounce tarts. I have done 6 Farmers Markets (3 hours each) and one craft show (5 hours) and I am averaging 135 tarts sold per market/show.

Wow! Thanks so much. I am sure I will be able to find some ones I can tolerate with all these suggestions

I am not really a fan of floral scents but I have a lot of customers asking for them. It is kind of a catch-22 because it is hard to test scents that I know I probably won't like in the first place, lol. What is your favorite floral and what supplier? I would rather go with recommendations from here then to try and choose blindly on my own.
Thanks!

I get mine from Fragrance Buddy and my customers love it

I was approached at the market last week by the owner of a store here in town that was interested in carrying my tarts in her store on consignment. Does anybody have any experience with this? She wants me to come in her store to talk about it but I have no idea as to how this works and what part of the sale she would get, what is a fair split etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I just made some this morning...took color on fast...will see how long it takes fro the oil to absorb
What kind of wax are you using?
-
I made some and it took so long for the fragrance oils to absorb, that I never made any more. They smelled really good.
Did you put them in the warmer or just use them as an air freshener (like aroma beads) ?

Wow! Thank you so much!

I came across these on ebay. What a cute idea! I wonder if they use some kind of an embed mold? They look pretty uniform in size.
I had never heard of the company Pink Zebra before but I came across them as I was googling for more information on the "soy sprinkles" they look very similar.

These would be great for customers that wanted to try their own recipes my combining different ones.

The 1 oz Ellipso cups hold .7-.8 ounces of wax

Thanks everybody! I am going to order some samples of all the ones you suggested. I just can't see spending $9 more a bottle!

I have only tried the Pink Sugar from Peak and I really like it. But when I went to price the 16 oz they are almost $9 more than other places (NG, CS, FB). I would love to hear any reviews on other Pink Sugars. I am hoping to find one I like as well as Peak's that is cheaper!

I am intrigued by the scented salt. What kind of salt/FO ratio are you all using?
-
I really like this one as well. Used for tarts in a Ecosoy PB/6006 Blend. 9% FO. After a few minutes in the warmer my daughter came downstairs and asked if I was baking a cake.

Do you have gas heat? I have similar black lines on my carpet in the doorways and was told it was from my gas furnace, water heater and fireplace. Something about carbon soot from the pilot lights. Candle soot can do that too but with as little as you burn them I wouldn't think it was from that. Here is an article about it:
-
Thank you both for your replies. I melted a total of 15 oz of wax. Added one dye chip at 190. Stirred until melted. Added FO after that at approximately 185

I am very new to candle making and so thankful to have found this board. I am testing my first candle with 464. It is a 16oz mason jar with an ECO 10. After each burn when the melt pool cools it ends up being a lighter shade than the rest of the candle giving it a striped effect. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Of the ones that are on sale I have used Cozy Cabin, Eucalyptus & Spearmint, Rosemary Mint and Lemon Grass. All 4 of those have sold well for me (tarts)
