Does anyone have an idea of where i can purchase a couple electric tart/melt warmers? I am looking for the kind WITH an on/off switch and preferably ones that are 2 pieces (top comes off). (not candle or light bulb as a heat source) **shipping to Canada**
Thanks

ok I love zinc wicks but hate mushrooming
Are LX wicks comparable? how would i go about comparing wick sizes? For instance....votive zinc wicks = 36-24-24Z equates to which LX wicks?
Same for 44 z and tealight wicking...
Any help?
Thanks

Does anyone see anything wrong in doing this.....
Taking presto pot out to the garage (it's warm outside) and making candles out there??
Any harm in that?

I looked over that tutorial as well and...just a question....
That flower pot holder shown as the last picture....would anyone agree that perhaps that isnt the 'best' holder to burn votives in? I've tried to burn a votive in that exact holder and...BLAH what a disaster. I now burn in the tall straight votive holders and they burn beautifully....Just a thought

I buy from ebay A LOT but never from this seller....I'd say with a 100% positive feedback, you'd be pretty safe dealing with this person.

If you add vybar to the pre-blended wax (such as IGI4786 container wax) is it capable of holding more than 10% fragrance oil?
If so, how do you know how much vybar to add??
Thanks for help

The silicone I got is GE Silicone II 100% silicone (clear)
I'm doing up a bunch of tealight cups for the next time I have to make them. Trying to save some time.
Thanks all

The main purpose is to adhere my tealight wicks to the aluminum cups...pesky lil devils I tell ya
Do I need to let this silicone "cure" or "set up" for any length of time?

To adhere your wick to a container
1) Wick Stick Ems
2) Glue Dots
3) Hot glue gun
4) Nothing
Thanks for your input

Thanks for your suggestions...i really appreciate it.
I pour from my presto pot at about 180 degrees and mix my color/FO and away I go pouring.....
I'm afriad to pour too cool because I seem to get a film starting to form too quickly and then when I place the wick in the cup, it ruins the look...hope that makes sense.

I pour the wax into the aluminum cups, wait about 2 minutes and then start putting the wicks in, one at a time, and by the time i blink, they are already starting to flop over.....
The only problems I see while burning these, are when the wax completely liquifies, the wick becomes uncentered.
Should I try glue dots for that problem? I know that wont help the falling wicks.
Thanks

Please help before I lose my mind LOL
Tealights....
Darn tealight wicks fall over in the wax...How can i wick these darn things without losing my patience?? Am I pouring my wax too hot?
(pre-blended container wax melted to about 180 using zinc cored tealight wicks)
Thanks

I came across a website (store) which i'm not sure if I can mention who they are.....anyhow, they sell "Low Smoke Zinc Wicks" and I tried to put in an order but unfortunately they won't ship to Canada any longer...
Anyone familiar with these wicks and are they any different/better than the regular zinc wicks??
Thanks:)

I pour into my pour pot, add dye chip, FO and stir.....pour right away...all within 30 seconds so it doesn't have much time to cool much at all. I dont heat my pour pot at all. I heat from presto to about 175. What a great idea these presto pots have been! How did I survive all this time without them???

I'm wondering if that could be the problem....I dont pour to the top of the votive mold because the majority of my votive HOLDERS are smaller in size so I've been trying to make smaller votives. i've been pouring about 3/4 of the votive mold on the first pour and when I top off, I just pour enough to cover the hardened top....does that make sense? Perhaps i shouldnt be doing that at all???

What i mean is the colour is a couple shades lighter. Also it looks as though it isnt attached totally to the candle, like you could take your nail and flick the top off. I havent actually had one pop off, but it looks that way.

I love this supplier. I've always gotten my order shipped the next day. I believe SJ is on vacation right now. It says on the main page.
