  1. Hi, I have a stupid question.:grin2: How do you know if a fragrance oil is "heavy" or "light"? There are many references to heavy oils that need to be wicked up but how does one determine if it is indeed heavy? They are sold by weight and not volume. Do you do a side by side comparison of the amount in the container?

    Thanks for your help,

  2. Cozy, I am sorry you are having trouble with this company. Last year I placed a small order with them and never received it. I tried to contact them through email and a phone number that was on my cc statement. They never answered my email and the phone was either busy or an answering machine picked up. 6 weeks later I called my cc company and had the charge taken off. This was the first and hopefully last company that I have ever had trouble with.

  3. Hi, Well I tried Peaks Lavender and to my nose it didn't smell true. I made some candles and took one to work. A coworker said that it reminded him of an URINAL CAKE found in the men's room. :embarasse He said that it stunk when cold but smelled ok when lit. I am now looking for another to try.

  4. My understanding of the law is that if it is truly soap (oils and lye) then you don't have to list ingredients. If you make a claim about it then it is considered a cosmetic and you have to list ALL the ingredients including sodium hydroxide. They want everything listed that goes into the product and don't care about the end result(no lye left). I personally prefer that my labels show every ingredient including sodium hydroxide.

Jeana- I have noticed many mislabled products in stores. Even the large chains have products labled incorrectly. I guess there aren't many b&b police. :wink2:
