I put mine on the outside using the same silicone I use for attaching my wicks to my jars...works wonderfully.

I bought mine at Walmart.

Me too, the only downside is it only weighs up to 5lbs....I'm thinking of upgrading myself.

I hope you figure something out soon, my son got addicted to this and did it until he was over a year old. Always had to be on my chest at night, he took naps by himself fine though.

I have personally never used the J225, I am a J223 user. What I have read on this board and elsewhere suggests that the J225 is really no better than the J223 and various other waxes and it costs more, maybe you should test a different wax? Someone who knows what they are talking about will be around shortly I am sure.

I think the peaks is a pretty dead on version. I didn't get too good of a hot throw though.

I think this is probably the reason she likes to sleep that way. My 15 month old was addicted to sleeping on our chests as an infant. I have seen a teddy bear at Walmart that has the heartbeat sound.

If it is only slighty sinking in the middle you can use a heat gun to smooth out the top.

I use cardstock....I print my warning label on the backside of the product label then I stick it in the little indention on the lid of my clamshells.

oh geeze, I have yet to do this and am terriefied i will, i always check my lids before I shake. As for putting wax in the presto without closing the valve first...I do it a lot!

votives....I'm giving it a try just pouring container wax into the votive holders this year.

melts....got some little heart shapes in a silicone ice tray I'm going to play with this weekend.

other than that...I have one order to complete and get shipped.

I have the single wick model, too. Also have pint Masons. They have the same width opening as 8 oz jelly jars. The third setting is a little loose on the JJ and pint Mason, but if you want you can wrap some electrician's tape three times around the right level, and it fits just right. Might save you some time with sending it back to get it adjusted.

I sell one size....8 oz. I also do seasonal items I find at wallyworld and the dollar store.

I use 50/50 J223/1343. firm enough to pop out and not smear yet soft enough to easily melt.

I just hold the slab and slam it on the counter to break in half then do the same to the halves so I have quarters....I think I am gonna go to walmart and get myself a tub and try it out that way, be ready to use when I need it and easy to store.

I have never used the add A to B combo, but I do use the peaks UV and it works great, never had a problem except with a cotton candy FO and in that case I do believe it was the FO not the UV.

I have only used the aluminum and so far it has been a PITA. I threw in the towel on it a few weeks ago, I figure I will give it another try when I get bored or frusterated with something else.

I have done absolutely nothing all week, shut the door to my candleroom and haven't stepped inside since monday. I think I am going to head out tomorrow and see what kind of V day things I can find at walmart and the dollar store. I have some pillars to test because after a year at it, I still can't perfect these babies to the point where I would sell them. Other than that, maybe scrape some wax off the floor under my work table and do some organizing? Hope everyone enjoys their weekend, be it candle or soap making or just relaxing.
