I just started testing with J225.I was 3hrs into my burn and noticed a small air bubble beside the wick. I was wondering when is the best time to add release holes in the candle when cooling? Where should I poke the holes and how many?

Thanks for your thread. I also like to mix a lot and find my own scents. I live in Canada and there are only a few places to order Fo's from. I am constantly changing suppliers. It is super hard on the pocket.....

I just got my Presto pot. I went out today and got the things I needed to add the spout to it. I was quite nervous to add it to begin with as I paid 60.00 Canadian for it. We have to get them from the U.S because we can no longer get them in Canada. Maybe I should just keep it as is and hopefully I will not get the flaking... I love this sight it has helped with a lot of questions. Thanks everyone!!!!

Thanks for the thermometer idea. I use a laser thermometer, I just point at the wax and it gives me the temperature. Maybe this is not what I should be using for candle making:))

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows a candle making supplier in Canada that has Heinz pre tabbed wicks?

As a newbie to high preforming wax. I was attracted to try IGI J225 Super wax. I was wondering if anyone gets sink holes using this wax (even though it is supposed to be a 1 pour wax). I heat the wax to 200 add colour and Fragrance then pour at 190. I hear lots of people using heat guns for smoothing out issues. When doing a second pour with this wax do I have to pour at 190 again or should the temperature be lower?

Thanks everyone. I spoke with my supplier today and was told I do not need to poke holes around the wick. I was told to pour at 195 200 that is only 5 degrees difference than I am currently pouring? I will try it. If it happens to not work I will try the holes around the wick. Just when you think you have it
