Does anyone know where these jars can be found? There are made in such a way that the globe lid can hold another substance as well. On the old board, I think that someone posted in the gallery with bath salts in the jar itself and then pot pourri in the globe lid. That was a while back. Any help would be appreciated.

Those are pretty, Supa Star.

They're all nice, especially the peppermint and the cocoa butter.

That Monoi looks delicious! It's making me think of cookies and cream icecream.

I love the look of the Gingered Lime.

What's in it? Exactly how is it made?

Those are beautiful. Exactly how is a razzle dazzle made?

Can rustic pillars be made with beeswax? I know that beeswax is sticky to work with and therefore requires additives to allow the candle to be removed from the mould. But can the rustic effect be created as well?

Thanks.

What is cream soap exactly? Can anyone give me a basic recipe for it? I saw a post somewhere with someone talking about allowing it to 'rot.' How long is that done for?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the advice. The term flea market is kind of broad here in that it can be an outlet for the sale of secondhand or cheap knick knacks, as well as more like an indoor fair where vendors sell things that are both new and old, bought and handmade.

I'm ready to sell candles and turn it into a part-time job. I want to start small by getting a booth at a popular flea market and selling there on Saturdays, but I know that I'll want to expand eventually. What's your advice? I'm not in the U.S. (in the Caribbean) and businesses tend to be less receptive to local products. In terms of marketing, I've also considered sending a package containing a brochure and two free products to select outlets (gift shops, home furnishing stores, etc.) What kind of experience, if any, have you had with this technique?
What other advice would you give to a newbie?

Those are nice. I really like rustics the best out of all types of candles.

They all look beautiful! What did you do with the yellow one to create that shimmer effect?

I'm a newbie to candle making. A few months back, I made my first and only candles (containers) and they were from paraffin. I'm very interested in trying soy pillars but I can't find any pics. People seem to discourage soy for pillars. Do any of you use soy wax for this type of candle? Do you have any pics? What do I need to bear in mind when doing soy pillars?
