I am looking for some recommendations on FO's from CCS. I can drive there to pick up, and I am wanting to make some candles for Christmas gifts. I am looking for Christmas type scents with good throw. I have para and soy. I don't normally make candles so I have not tried any of their scents for candles yet. I know how to make, just been a long time :>

It may not be your recipe exactly. Some people just are sensitive to hand made soap. I tend to drink a lot of sodas and no water, so I am not hydrated like I need to be sometimes. So, in winter, and if I have not been drinking a lot of water, most handmade soap causes a little itching for me after a shower. Even 10% SF. Warm weather, I don't have a problem.

As others have said, its not necessary. Try experimenting by making some with the step of the oven, and some without. See which you like better :>

Our cat used to break out to some BBW fragrances. As soon as we stopped using them, no more rashes, so I am sure it can be possible in your situation

I know community candle supply has a good campfire marshmallow if you do not want to mix your own

Yes, lye is dangerous, but watch a youtube video with your husband on how to use lye safely when making soap and he should understand better. Ask him if he would let you use drano to unclog a the sink. If he says yes, well you should be able to soap :>

I will +1 to CCS. I just made a batch of CPHP with her Gardenia Tuberose and my entire downstairs is filled with the aroma. It is my favorite Gardenia so far. I might have to expand into candles after this, or make a batch of soap every night :> Plus Paula is awesome too.
