  1. I have the perfume Light Blue for women ... I wear it all the time. There is a version for men and it is different - very sexy - great scent for men (in my opinion) ... actually I was going to buy it for my hubby for Father's Day but got something else ... so just to let you know ... in the stores ... there are 2 different versions ... 1 for men ... 1 for women and they are not the same ... similar to the fact they are both the "same" perfume but formulated for both sexes in their own versions - but if you smelled them both ... you could tell the difference (I hope I'm making sense!)

Here's the "notes" for men ... Sicilian Mandarin, Frozen Grapefruit Peel, Bergamot, Juniper, Rosemary, Szechuan Pepper, Rosewood, Musk Wood, Incense, Oak Moss.

Here's the "notes" for women ... Sicilian Citron, Bluebell, Granny Smith Apple, Jasmine Sambac, Bamboo, White Rose, Cedarwood, Amber, Musk.

    Hope this helps!

  2. Things have been so crazy here that I forgot to share some pillars that I made as Mother's Day gifts. Both candles were made with CS Palm Pillar waxes - Even with the palm waxes...the pics came out really good. These were so much fun to make and my mom & MIL loved their blue ones with my boys on it and the sage one...that one was for my SIL - she loved her's with her baby's sonogram on it. The beads & stones were bought at Wal-mart along with the holders for the pillars. Thanks everyone for checking them out!!

  3. Hi Donna!

I know Denise (Fragrances by Design) has the sampler pack of 4 oz. for $33.50 and then only charges $4.99 for shipping. Might work to your advantage with the low shipping cost. If you get on her mailing list, I know she offers the sampler packs on sale quite a bit.

Just thought I'd speak up for her since I love her Blue Sugar, Green Irish Tweed and Euphoria types!

    Hope this helps!

  4. Thank you everyone!! They were so much fun to make! I'm going to make a few more this weekend and then will have to place my order with CS for more wax!! I make pillars all the time but now LOVE this palm wax and this is how I'll be making all my pillars and votives now!! All my pillars before were either paraffin or a soy/paraffin blend. Now reading Lisa's posts...I'm gonna have to try the towel over them to let them cool slower than they are and see what kind of design I get then :)

and yes Judy...she is definitely an enabler!! But this time I'll forgive her *giggle* because I definitely love making these and love the end result! I'm burning one now and loving it! Didn't want to burn it but then I said...I can just make another one :D

  5. Lisa got me addicted to this wax!! With her posting all of her beautiful CS Palm wax pillars - I had to try!!

These were the first 3 that I made with the Palm Pillar waxes ... I did a blend of the starburst & feather. I had to just show them off :smiley2: I had so much fun using this wax!

  6. I don't carry a plain Baby Powder in my line so when I needed one (for my son's baptism) ... I went with Snuggle Baby from KY - it was highly recommended by a great member here and she was so right ... it's a great scent!! To me it smells like Johnson Lotion in the pink bottle and baby powder ... pure baby!! If you want a sniffie...let me know privately and I'll send you a little. I really like it!

    Hope this helps!!

  7. Not any type of wax is good for wax embeds, pie crusts, toppers...I use this wax because of the high meltpoint. This was is recommended for wax embeds and pie toppers. Other votive/pillar waxes have a meltpoint of approx. 130-145 where this wax has a meltpoint of over 160.

I use either MP or HP Penereco gel. Personally I do not recommend using the LP gel. Also with the gel, you must only use gel safe fragrance oils that have a flashpoint of 175 or higher...and deemed gel safe. Some fragrances have a flashpoint of over 175 but will cloud your gel, these FO's are not gel safe.

    I hope this helps you!

  8. Different color but same aroma also has to do with the raw materials..at least in some of the batches I have received from my manufacturer. I've had 2 oils come in with different colors but same scent...they both had to do with the sweet orange batches that the manufacturer received in. As it was explained to me...the batches change due to crops. Winter crops of Sweet Orange EO occasionally comes in red and will change the color where summer crops come in a lighter amber color. Also the degrees in which they add the different raw materials also has to do with the lighter or darker colors at times in the batches. With vanillas...I have noticed that if they overheat the vanilla, it comes in dark.

I hope this explains it a little better also. I can't speak for other suppliers as what I have shared is how it has been explained to me but I hope this information helps a little.

  10. Slatkin Winter is BBW Aspen Winter that sold out so quickly last year. I fell in love with Aspen Winter last year and when I smelled Slatkin Winter I was so happy that they returned it this year. I even ask a BBW salesperson to make sure.

Places that I found that had it are...(please note - I have not tried any of them so I can not recommend who is better...these were just found doing a search to try and help you out)

  11. Thank you for the concern! Things are going fine...just trying to keep up with orders and relax enough to relieve the dizzy spells and swelling. About 8 weeks to go until my little man is born...sometimes I can't wait and other times I can :) This is the last time I'll ever be pregnant so I'm trying to enjoy it while trying to keep my blood pressure under check.

RE: Madagascar Vanilla Orchid - this oil will be discontinued until further notice because I have not been 100% satisfied with the last 2 batches ... until they remedy all issues I have with this oil, I will not sell the replacement oil that I now have (that's being shipped back).

Again...it's business as usual *for now* :D I'm just trying to get within 2 business days of order processing...I'm almost there...just waiting on 2 oils to get in to get all caught up on orders.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!

  12. I sell quite a bit of reed diffusers and refill kits on my retail site...but personally...I love my tarts! I like the instant gratification of the tarts. Diffusers are just an easy way of getting scent diffused...but in my opinion, it will never be better than tarts. I love being able to change my scent when I get tired of it...and getting the scent right away and strong ... isn't anything like it!!

    But...that's just my opinion :)
