  1. I am new here and honestly new to candle making. Just wondering if there is anything like candle parties...or anything to that nature that someone could get involved in to meet other people who also love candle making?

You can throw a Avon party, a Mary Kay party even a tupperware party....why not a candle party...lol

    Thanks for your thoughts!

    PS...I am in Texas:p

  2. Good morning,

I just got the new Taylored 50/50 in and order 51-32-18 zinc to test for my 8oz jelly jar candles. Has anyone tested these two together? If so how did it go?

I also order the Joy with the hemp 838 wick as well. Has anyone tested these two together. I have a fun filled day planned this weekend and am hoping they both test well. I am more pulling for the 50/50 as it is in Texas as well.

Any opinions and/or suggestions will help!

    Thanks in advance

    The newbie..:yay:

  3. That does help ALOT. Thanks to both of you for your help. I will continue my purchase and update this post. in hopes it will help someone else with the same questions!

Your answers were refreshing..lol I was hoping the Parasoy worked better as I am in TExas and the shipping would get me quick!

    Thanks again!

  4. Can anyone give me a list of suppliers that carry the "Country Vanilla" fragrance. Before I started making my own I would buy them from a local person who has since quit making them. I am trying to find that scent again. I have found a couple of places but it just doesn't smell the same.

Thanks in advance for your help!

  5. Hello all, I am new to the site and have a question.

Without giving any of your secrets away. Can anyone make a suggestion over Soy and Parr? I am wanting to try it but am scared to try a new wax. I currently and making container candles and trying to find the right recipe and after LOTS of money on waxes am still not where I want to be. So I am trying to read up on Soy, does anybody have a good "getting started" base recipe for Soy or maybe a blend of Soy and something else?

Thanks for your help in advance
