Congrats!!! I wish the people that comment about how good it smells when they walk past your booths would stop and buy. My husband always ask people what their favorite scent is to get them to at least stop and look.

I did my 2nd craft fair yesterday, it was a one day event. I made 16x my booth fee!! OMH soap did the best, I sold out of it. One lady bought 20 bars, which are going to different people she works with. Maybe I'll get some residual business from that. It really went well, and people kept walking past and saying how good it smelled and how pretty everything was, etc. I hope I can find some more fairs to be in this season. I'm kind of going by word of mouth, being new to the scene and all.

Good for you! I know it's hard to suck it up and act like you're supposed to be there when you really don't feel that way. I'm glad you were proven wrong. BTW, $85 for a pair of socks?!! They had better give me a pedicure or something lol.

Thank you all! I have made a couple of balms, but to be honest, right now I'd rather just melt it and pour it. Lip balms are my least fave job. I went ahead and ordered from BC, based on all the testimonials.

I usually use onederbar, but columbus foods really has some good prices- wow.

I was looking at Sweetcake's base, but has anyone tried it? Does anyone know of a better one? I did search on this but couldn't find the answer I needed.

Well, I made about 4.5 x my booth fee and I can pay the rent so I'm thinking it went pretty well. Also, I got approached by a local store owner about carrying some of my stuff, and I may have a home party too. I got alot of good feedback and exposure and I learned a whole lot. Very valuable experience.

I've used lavender and it masks it pretty well, but not everyone likes lavender. I have the West African shea that has "the odor" and people sometimes turn their noses up at it. Does anyone know of anither EO I could try? I can't afford to waste it experimenting. Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched the forum and the internet.

I was looking through MMS at the flavor oils and noticed that they also have citrus and mint EO's listed. I'm guessing this means that I can use them in lip balms. Does anyone know what other EO's are safe for this?

You guys don't come across badly at all. That's why I ask people. I have several scents of soaps that have cured already, all have been tested by friends and family and I've gotten rave reviews. I was planning on doing some M&P anyway so tha'll give some variety too, and alot of people really like those. I have been testing everything on everyone that will try it for a while now and I think I'm ready. I want to give a great 1st impression though and I appreciate your honesty. The shows in about a month.

My Meemaw loved this scent. It would be nice to make a little batch to give to family for memory's sake.

It worked!! And beautifully! I did one lavender and one ginger-lime, both with essential oils. The scent is still there (hopefully it'll stay) and they look gorgeous on the inside. I'll get some pics as soon as I can borrow a camera, mine doesn't work. Whew *wiping sweat*. My question is, am I still allowed to call it cp? Or do I have to give some sort of explanation at the craft fair I have coming up?

It's been a little over 8 hours now and it's still pretty soft. It's barely startng to get hard right at the corners. This better work.

Oh boy I hope it turns out ok. I have 8 lbs in the oven right now and I hope the scent stays in them ok. Wish me luck and I'll let you know how it turns out.

Yes, I can smell for miles! And I never want to smell spearmint eucalyptus again lol! I'm not sure that my soap gelled though. What exactly does that mean? That it'll take 2 months to cure or what?
