pocie2 Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Ok people. I have been asked by the neighboring 4-H club to help them make a water candle for their next project. Duh! I forgot how to do it. I know I need a core candle. A taper really and that they are dipped into water that wax has been poured into or on top of. But I don't want to mess this up for them and I need some help with the directions. They don't want to make ice candles, that is too childish, they told me. Besides they made one before. Anyone know where I can find the instructions? I need them before the 11th of January. TIA!pocie2 Quote
Dee Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Try e-mailing Donita. I know she posted something about water candle instructions awhile ago. Quote
Dustpuuppy Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 You can go to the archives and run a search. I posted some over there, as did some other people. We had some long discussions about techniques, as I recall. Quote
shutterbugg Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 beauloser does some awesome water candles also!! Quote
sharyl55 Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Here's the link to Donita's instructions.http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/thecandlequeen44/album?.dir=e82b&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photosYou should be able to print them out for the 4-H club. Be sure to cover safety 1st with the kids. The pour pots will be hot. You could use small aluminum pans for the base. They would probably like trying different colored waxes. Quote
