Stephanie
I finally got all the ingredients together to make the belly balm recipe that Spellkast gave me for my pg sister. I've never made B&B so I'm super new to this - the only thing holding me up is what to put it in once I make it. Will it be so thick that it should go in a jar? Or not so thick that I should put it in a a squeeze tube? TIA
ChrisR
I use the small slide tins for a balm I make. Or you can use small jars, like for lip balm.
Stephanie
Once it's made it will be about 12 oz, so I'm thinking it should be something bigger?
edensong
Have you got any jars? Balms usually need to be in tins or jars.
Stephanie
Yes, I have a few jars lying around, so I'll use those. I also have 6 oz tins, but thought those might rust. If not, I could use those too?
sudsnwicks
I would put it in a jar. It will be a thick texture and trying to get it into a tube would be a hassle. As for tins, I'm not sure if they could rust (though I've seen people using them), so you might want to start with a jar as it's the most foolproof. elle110
What are the ingredients in the balm, if no water phase you should be ok, if it is beeswax, oils, butters etc. I would go for a tin.
Stephanie
No water. I did put a little bit in a tin just to see if there's a reaction. Thx!
TexasBrat
I was thinking of push up tubes.
