RMullen99 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Hi Everybody quick question for large batches........let's just say I am using a hundred pounds of wax and I add USA to my candles......does everyone just melt the wax and USA in their main melter and than remove the amount needed add their fo and color or do you melt the wax......take out what you need than add the USA FO and color? I am hoping I can just put all the wax and USA in the main melter and save whatever is unused for future orders. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I usually just add the USA to each batch of candles I make not into the main melter....hope that made sense.TIA Quote
Stella1952 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I add USA & UV inhibitor at the same time as the wax. I add the melted wax mixture to the FO & dye in the pour pot. HTH :-) Quote
rjdaines Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 So long as none of the components added degrade with repeated heating and cooling you should be ok. The manufacturer should have guidance on the items you mentioned. Quote
RMullen99 Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 Thank you so much.....I didn't think it would matter but wanted to check just in case! Quote
