Popping Wicks

While testing my candles, when I first light the wicks, they "pop" several times.

Is this a concern? How can I eliminate this?

My CD wicks ALWAYS did this also- not sure of the answer as to why but trimming the wick before lighting it- even if it looks like it doesnt need it -eliminated it 95% of the time for me

And it was with this wax straight also- when I started adding a little BW I havent noticed it happening

Trimming the wicks (as we are supposed to do) for me, stops any initial popping.

Thanks for the replies. I was doing some torture testing. Assuming customers don't trim, burning for long periods, etc.

So I guess customer education, is the only way to eliminate this, or they live with it. Just worried about safety concerns.
