Landa
I want to make wickless candles and was wondering what wax to use?
quietgirl2004
If your talking container candles you put on warmers, any container wax will do.
cindym
See what your closest supplier sells. For wickless I think J50 IGI 4786 J223IGI 6006 IGI 4630 would all be great. If you want a softer wax which is easier to work with for cutting go with the J's the 6006 or the 4630 Hope this helps.
CranberryGirl
Not sure what type of container your planning on using...but make sure you test your container with the wax in a melter before you sell..as i have been hearing about alot of the containers breaking!test with a soft wax...container fill...i would look for a med size jar around 16oz...the bigger ones seem like a waste to me...Have a great day!Tara
Landa
I was going to use seamless tins. Thanks everyone:wink2:
Fern
Hey Landa: I use the seamless tins for my wickless candles using J223 and get really great throw. It helps that the container is tin because it really builds up some heat and throws the scent very strongly. Just be careful not to touch the tins until they cool down some because they get real hot. AngelaVA
I use J50 and the 8 oz tins. I tested both J50 and J223 for regular wicked candes and prefer J50, so I also use it for wickless.
