lynnem
Hi All, newbie here, I'm an old hat at making candles, but new at soap. Made my first batch of CP last night, and .... SUCCESS!! I was so excited....I have 2 questions...#1-- there's a link to a post in this forum somewhere here that tells you how to create your own soap recipe... lists the hard and soft oils, and the percentages of each...I used it last night and can't find it again today... anyone have it??#2-- found this recipe for strawberries and cream soap: 40 oz Olive Oile 12 oz Coconut Oil 7.20 oz Red Devil Lye 20 oz Distilled Water At trace: ½ cup strawberry pulp 1/3-cup strawberries n cream fragrance 2 tsp cream ¼ tbsp red colorantI've got strawberry fragrance oil for candles, it's listed body safe... but 1/3 cup seems like way too much. Any comments?ThanksLynne

Sherie
I'd run that recipe through a soap calculator just to be safe. As a rule, depending on the FO, 1 oz. per pound of oils is standard.
