How many tarts in your warmer?

This question was asked about two months ago and a few people answered saying they put anywhere from 1-3 cubes at a time in their warmer. My question is if you put one or two at a time in how strong do you want the fragrance to be? I have a tester that put two cubes in and said they had a medium strength fragrance that she could smell 20-25 feet away. She had them melting for 2-3 hours and said she could somewhat smell it when she turned the warmer off. I found it odd because we melted the same thing at home and my wife, who is very particular about her fragrances, said the SC was strong (she puts in at least 4 at a time) and we had them melting for days.

Would you consider the testers experience a success or not? The two fragrances she tried was Sugar Cookie and Creme Brulee, both from Only Fragrance. How many cubes do your customers usually use or what is the norm?

Not sure if it matters but I use 415 wax with about 8% fragrance load and they cured at least two weeks.

Thanks!

It depends on the burner. I mainly use 40 watt bulb burners and 2 blocks can and do fill up most of my house I have 1600 square feet. Now every now and then I put in a 25 watt bulb just to make sure mine will melt and smell in them and they do well depending on the scent I get at least living, dining and family rooms filled. Sometimes a bit further some times less. I have found with the less wattage bulbs to use less wax for better effect.

The more wax you use in a burner the cooler the wax is the less the throw. That is a fine line to little wax and the wax and FO gets too hot so you end up with a burnt smell.

As Vicky said, it depends on the burner. For testing purposes we use the cheap walmart plate warmers with a heatproof dish. Use one wax melt. Depending on the FO, we get between 8 and well over 24 hrs. HT (we do not turn the warmer on and off, it's 8 to 24 hrs straight, non-stop).

Covers an area approx. 3200 sq. ft. We don't use your wax though.
