ksranch
Would this be something for a complete beginner in this area to start with? (for lotion that is..)http://rusticescentuals.com/Body-Glaze-Base-Unscented.html
lauramw71
Are you wanting to move into B&B? I'm assuming you want to start with a lotion base? There are soooo many different bases at different suppliers. What I did was just tested out a few different ones until I found what I liked. Right now I have the GMH base from WSP, and the hemp from Aquatech. I think I want to try out the lotion base from BCN because the hemp is just sooo $$. But anyways, if you are wanting to try BB out, I think a good place to start would be with a base.. I haven't tried my hand at making my own lotion yet because I adore the two bases I do have.Well, I'm not even sure I answered the question you were asking! lol
ksranch
I don't want to get into B&B - looks entirely too complicated to me... but my hubby has severly dry skin in the winter and I'd sure like to find something I could make (or buy) that would help him. Once, several years ago, a friend in CA sent him a container of homemade lotion and it was the only thing that ever helped.
lauramw71
ohhh I got ya! I've had good luck with the Goat milk base from WSP for dry skin. I also like a whipped shea for dry winter skin. That's pretty easy to make!
ah-soy
Try the tropical body butter from aquatech-skincare.com. It's packed full of natural butters and oils and is great for winter skin. Pricey, but worth it. You might also just order some pure unrefined shea butter.
