dcroome2005
There are a bunch of new people who have started in the past month. Read this thread and see all the great advice given .. http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?100905-Bought-my-Kit!! READ READ READ.. Research and search this board and you will get tons of information . Depending on where you live is how the shipping cost will be for you. In order for us to even begin to help you, we would have to know what type of para wax it is. What scents, what wicks you got. What size candles did you make? Did you wick them right? You will have to test to figure all that out. You say you would like to buy her a container kit. Was the first one you got not container? If it wasn't, why did you make container candles ? We would have to know so much more about that kit in order to even begin to help send you to the right places. It can be very very very overwhelming at first. Check out the General Candle Making Discussion section that we are in now and read up on all the threads that are new people asking questions. coconut
Christmas 2012, yes, Christmas 2011, no. It is not likely, maybe impossible, to test even one new scent in such a short time and make a safe quality candle. Have her start at the beginning of the General Candlemaking forum and read until she gets to today, and she will learn so much about candles. And then she still needs to test, test, test. Not being mean, just honest. Best of luck to her and her new hobby.
