bayougirl
I was thinking about it this evening. Would it even be possible? I want something that might be a little milder on the skin but still have the salt in it, too.
Stella1952
Why not? It's sure worth a 1 pound test batch... Let us know how your experiment works, ok? Edited October 10, 2011 by Stella1952

bayougirl
I thought I'd try a test batch tomorrow sometime, but would have to wait until cure to try it out. Gosh, I wish I had some patience! 6 weeks.
bayougirl
Well, I made my Oatmeal, Milk & honey recipe and added 12 oz of sea salt. I was a little leary of putting them in the oven (at 170 degrees) to force gel, like I usually do with salt bars. But it came out fine, I just turned them out of the mold and they look fine, just have to wait 6 weeks to test them out in the bath. thanks for all the advice. I'll add some photos into the gallery section tonight.
Stella1952
You CAN begin testing before that so long as the soap isn't still "zappy." I started testing my salt bars on my hands 4 days after I made them. After about 10 days, I couldn't stand it anymore and took a bath with my test bar. OMG it was wonderful!! And to think they'll only keep getting better...
