Mountain Soy Candle
I just got some f/o from Peaks and was reading the bottle and it says to add the f/o just before you pour?? I use 415 soy and always have added my f/o's at higher temps. I always thought that the f/o needed to bind with the wax at higher temps. I pour at 90-95 degrees. Is that going to be hot enough for the f/o to bind with the wax? This is a curveball and goes against everything Ive been doing. Any suggestions??Mike
lilcountrymama
I've seen other threads share there concern on this but I myself stick to what I do and so have others so just add your fo at your normal temp the fp changes once the fo is added anyways and I personally never had a problem adding there fos that say this at
rjdaines
I add all Peak's FOs at 175 to 185 and stir for 2 minutes or so.
Stella1952
Do what works for you. If you develop problems, try adding the Fo at a higher temp.
Mountain Soy Candle
Thanks for the replies. I havent used the f/o's yet but plan to this weekend. I am going to keep doing what I have been. The only reason I asked was because I had never used Peaks previously and didnt want to do something wrong while testing.
