jwn6w
:smiley2:Hi can somebody please tell me the difference between these two wicks. STABILO 14 & CDN 14. I got them both from Wicks Unlimited. I thought that STABILO 14 was a CDN so I am confused. Thanks
EricofAZ
Stabilo is the CD. The CDN has an additive to resist the acidic nature of natural wax.http://www1.stimpson.com/~stimpson/WicksUnlimited.pdf Edited September 24, 2011 by EricofAZ
Stella1952
The name was changed by the manufacturer several years ago, but most suppliers haven't changed their nomenclature. CD = Stabilo. CDN = Stabilo KST. Stabilo (CD) and Stabilo KST (CDN) are EXACTLY the same wick. The only difference is the treatment applied to the KST (CDN) to resist acidic oxidation in veggie waxes (soy & palm). Here's the link to the manufacturer's websites - loads of good info there, not only about their wicks but about candle wicks in general.http://www.technische-geflechte.de/site/english.htmlhttp://www.heinzverhaegh.com/ Edited September 24, 2011 by Stella1952
