Well, I thought this would turn out ugly, but I kind of like them!! :cheesy2: They are scented Cranberry Marmalade from CS and omgosh strong scent!! I have to get it in wax soon!

Anyway, let me explain the colors. LOL. I was desperate for a red so I added beet juice and it didn't work, then I added paprika. lol. Didn't do what I wanted. I was frantic and thought I would try and cover it all up in silver mica! LOL!!! :tiptoe: My hubby said I looked like a freaked out mad scientist. He was like: *hiding*

I was like :naughty: And It gelled all the way.:whoohoo:

I actually Love this one. lol. I may call it Tropical Christmas...:cheesy2:

How did the cranberry marmalade behave for you? Your soap looks good. I tried soaping the same scent (same supplier) yesterday, and had my first failed batch ever (I've been soaping CP periodically for about 21 months now). I added the fragrance at light trace, the batch thinned out to no trace at all after I mixed it in, and then I had separation and just couldn't get it to blend back together again. It ended up an oily mess of rice sized chunks. Ricing?

I love the scent and was bummed because I would love it in soap, but I'm afraid to try it again.

Thanks everyone!!

Kestagano, it behaved very well. I combined lye and oils at about 100* used SB pulsed a couple of times and it reached light trace, pulsed again, stirred and poured some out for the "color" and the rest in the mold. It was my best batch so far as I have had trouble with complete gel and having white spots in the middle. I have had in the past it separate on me...long ago and I put my oven on 200* and throw that pot in the oven and cook the soap and keep stirring with a whisk every 15 mins. If CP looks like a disaster then I cook the batch. hth's :)

Awesome!!!!!! Getting my order together for Soapers Choice can't wait. But now that CS has that big sale on 1 ozers it might wait a little bit!

Thank you! I'm kind of at a loss for a name...because the scent doesn't match the colors. I got in on CS's fo sale!! I can't wait to see your first soaps!!

So now that you have another batch under you, like it any more? The batch looks good. You're after the ever elusive red that a lot of us are searching for (just thought I would welcome you to search lol!)

Yep...I like it better. lol. Actually I have 6 batches done and I'm doing two today. One cp and one hp. I love both. When I want instant gratification I do hp. lol. I'm fully addicted. :)

Kestagano, did you throw it into a crock pot and cook/stir it there? When I have had those sorts of ugly events, the crock pot has saved the day for me...

No, I don't have one. I probably should purchase one though. I'm making CP more often now and would like to save the batch if that were to happen again.

No need to have a crock pot if your doing your oils in a SS pot. If you come across a bad batch, put the oven on 200* and throw it in there.

Still like a crazy person about every 15 mins until it turns to a mashed potato consistency...then you have soap to mold. <3

Thank you for the advice, Oceangazer1.
