islandgirl
Am I reading this right?? :shocked2::shocked2:http://www.candlesandsupplies.net/Candle-Making/Soy-Candle-Wax-Bulk-Full-CasesIt seems that is the ONLY soy wax listed on their site now? WTF I know they Discontinued the C-3, but what happened to the 415??? http://www.candlesandsupplies.net/Candle-Making/Soy-Candle-Wax Edited September 4, 2011 by islandgirl
Candybee
Holy crap! I see it too. I did call them a couple weeks ago about their GG palm not being listed. They said if its out of stock they take it off the website so that doesn't mean they don't carry it. They do. Soooo.. I would call them to ask for other soy waxes they carry and not rely on the website listings only. However, their prices and availability of their waxes and other stock items are way out of control as far as I'm concerned! You'll note that all their waxes are generaly $20-$25 or more higher than other suppliers. Thats insane!
kandlekrazy
That has to be a mistake, who would buy it at that price?

islandgirl
Is C&S selling the wick-wax as container wax??C&S picture says Eco-Wick-Wax on their site, and when I went to http://www.ngiwax.com/products/ecosoyaproducts.htmlBelow is NGI's explanation of the 175MP Eco Wick wax.. Melt Point: 175 °F All vegetable wax coating for wicking ** Eco-Wick-Wax is specifically designed to keep wicks rigid and erect in melted wax while maintaining flexibility and excellent coating properties. It possesses high stability allowing Eco-Wick-Wax to be kept in a liquid state for extended periods of time. Eco-Wick-Wax is 100% vegetable and contains NO beeswax or petroleum products. ** This product requires special ordering and 8 – 10 weeks lead time. ** Minimum order of 4,000 lbs Edited September 4, 2011 by islandgirl
kandlekrazy
wow...simply amazing, why would anyone order it? It's still like 81.00 at GW and they stock it. Maybe that's the idea, discourage any wax orders?
kandlekrazy
Guess it's the whole wick thing driving the price up...
kandlekrazy
I emailed about this wick wax, here is the reply:Thank you for your inquiry about our Eco-Wick-Wax. Currently we sell this product to a number of manufacturing facilities, but to our knowledge the only distributor that re-sells this product is Candles & Supply. Could I ask what applications you are looking to use this for and in what quantities? I will be more than happy to have our sales team look to see if there are other options available to you. Thank you for your e-mail. Dr. AlNature's Gifts International, LLCwww.ngiwax.com
kandlekrazy
and the second reply...NOW I GET IT! DUH!!I appreciate that Eco-Wick-Wax is a quite expensive product. Due to the fact it is designed to coat wicks versus being the main component of a candle there is a very small amount of this product manufactured and the components are quite expensive. You may want to contact Candles & Supplies directly to see if they would offer smaller quantities that may be a better fit for you. I wish you the best of luck in your candle manufacturing business! Thank you for your e-mail. Dr. Al
SouthernGal
Omg!!! I've been reading y'alls post and waiting for someone to say C&S messed up on their pricing. I can't imagine the mark up on candles made with that wax!!!
IwantItgreen
You don't actually make candles with this wax. It is used to prime the wicks only. It probably has a melt point of about 212* like some of the other wick waxes. I'm wondering how many miles of wick a case would wax.

Stella1952
Obviously wick wax is not what y'all were looking for... I found palm wax, several "generic" soy waxes and EcoSoya PB listed, but their wax listings ARE pretty screwed up. Why not all the company and ask questions of them rather than speculating?
