Candybee
I've been selling my lip balm in tubes for $2 each or 3 for $5. Just wondering what you all sell yours for. I know I should raise my price a bit but not sure what the average is now. Some of my customers have been surprised I don't sell them for $3 or $3.50 each. That seems high to me. Would love some input on this. Thanks!
kestagano04
I'll be selling lip balm for the first time at craft shows this coming fall, and I plan on pricing them at $3.00 per tube, or 2 for $5.00.
NaturallyTru
$2.50; but I have some shops that bump it to $3.00.
LovelyLathers
I sell them for 3.00 and some times I do a special 2 for 5.
number2of7
$3.00 for me too!
SherriLynn
$2.50 each... 3 for $6 ....For 2 years we had our lip balms priced 3.00 each.. 2 for 5.00 and could barely move them. Last year we changed our pricing to 2.50 each or 3 for 6... we sold tons of lip balm last year and still make more than 4 times the cost. Noodle
I sell mine for $2.50 each, and I think my price is too low. I do not offer bulk deals unless 10 or more are purchased. 3 for $5.00 is too cheap girl! Get the cash that your lip balm deserves. :smiley2:
LuminousBoutique
$3.50 per tube, $10.00 for 4. AT LEAST $3.00 a tube is acceptable, imo. After all, they are buggers to pour, label, cap, shrink wrap... alot of work goes into one lip balmPS I have a shop that sells them for $5.00 each. Candybee
Thanks for everyones help. I just did a farmer's market this weekend with my new prices. I sold them at $3 or 2 for $5. Nobody batted an eyelash at that price and most preferred the 2 for deal. So I will continue with that price this fall and see how it goes. mychellec
I only sell a lip balm and body butter, but the balm is priced at $3.50 retail, $2.50 wholesale. I use very nice ingredients and more work goes into lip balm, as Luminous stated, than a lotion for me!
eugenia
Mine have been $3, two for $5 for years and everyone buys two, votives I sell $2 each, three for $5 and rarely sell one of those either. People like the "deals"
B@BlissStreet
I'm new to lip balms...are these prices still viable as this thread is over a year old? Any input will be most appreciated
Candybee
For the past year I upped my prices to $3 a tube or 3 for $5 and they are selling great at these prices. Hope I am not underselling myself.
franu61
2.75 or 2/5 here

Hope I am not underselling myself. 3 for $5? That is a pretty steep discount ($5/3 = $1.66 each which calculates to about 46% off) for 3. Was that a typo? I don't usually discount much until a quantity of 5.
Noodle
Do you mean 2 for $5 Candybee? I am guessing it was a typo. Your stuff is worth a lot more than that! I still have my lip balms at $2.50 each. I do not offer bulk deals unless 10 are purchased. Then, I just give a free tube.
SherriLynn
I'm at $2.50 as well... can't move them at $3.00. $2.50 or 3 for $6.00.... we sell tons of balms at holiday time at 3 for $6.

kandleindulgence
Hi,I sell my lip balms for $3.50 with no problems at all. I have seen some sell for as much as $8.99. I think that's way too much.
jenn624
Mine are $3 or 4 for $
Lumina
I checked this thread before I started selling my lip balm. I had a big craftshow this past weekend and sold 29 tubes...I was dancing..So I sold 1 for $3 or 2 for $5, most people bought 2. There was another person selling hers for $1.75, but she wasn't selling much.
