NaturallyTru
I want to make chocolate candy melts for Valentines Day using soy wax and a silicone mold. Any ideas on how to get them shiny like real chocolates so that they can still work in a warmer?Trudi
marcuset
I use silicone & metal & only the tarts in the metal with shine (or have a glossy sheen) ...just my experience. Maybe someone else knows a trick for the silicone.
scrochet
You have to use a silicone mold with a shiny finish. I have never did tarts this way but I have done soap. My silicone molds with a matte finish produce a dull soap and the mold with the shiny finish produce a shiny soap. IMO it would be the same with tarts.Sheli Edited November 24, 2010 by scrochet added more

NaturallyTru
Thanks.I had an idea...what about dipping in beeswax quickly? Thought of it because they dip fruit in paraffin to make shiny. Trudi
