luvtobowl
I am still relatively new to this wax and just can't figure it out. I got mine from Candle Science. I followed the directions and the middle of my candle is beautiful..but the top and bottom don't have as much of the starburst effect. Any ideas on where I went wrong? TIA:)
Stella1952
My best suggestion is to read here in the veggie wax forum. The search tool will come up with a lot of old threads about this and how people solve the issue. This is a common problem and it happens because the top and bottom are cooling at a different rate than the middle. I cool mine on cookie racks under a large cardboard box. This keeps the candles from cooling too fast and keeps the heat even all around the candle. Spacing the candles away from one another helps, too. The amount of space depends on the size & volume of the candle you are pouring. More space for bigger, fatter candles; less for small, skinny ones. luvtobowl
Thanks! I did quite a bit of research last night after I posted this and read quite a few really old posts about this issue. Next pour I will try what you have suggested. Thanks again
